Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager of SEC Reporting to join our Financial Reporting team. This role will lead the technical review of SEC filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the execution of SOX controls. The position also includes benchmarking our disclosures against industry peers and staying current on evolving SEC rules and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other periodic reports.

  • Benchmark disclosures against industry peers to ensure best-in-class reporting.

  • Review detailed disclosures for compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP, staying current on evolving standards.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance and analysis to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Finance, Accounting, and Legal to gather and validate financial data and disclosures.

  • Support and enhance SOX controls related to financial reporting.

  • Drive improvements in reporting processes and timelines for greater efficiency and accuracy.

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA certification required.

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, including at least 5 years in public accounting.

  • Strong technical expertise in SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP.

  • Proficiency in Workiva and other financial reporting tools.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Experience with Broker Dealer financial reporting is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a regulated financial services environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$105,700 - $132,120 USD
