Humboldt- Remote

Humboldt Merchant Services. Payment acceptance for retail and specialty markets. 

Who we are: 

Humboldt Merchant Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of North, provides payment acceptance to merchants in specialty markets, with a focus on retail and e-commerce transactions. In addition to providing safe and secure credit card processing to a wide variety of merchants, Humboldt also supports multi-currency conversion, specialized chargeback reporting, compatibility across multiple gateways, and more.

Job Summary: The Director of Sales primary responsibility is the execution of the sales strategy for recruiting, coaching, training, and motivating their team. Under the direction of the General Manager, works with and develops the sales team at Humboldt Merchant Services in the achievement of the departments and individual sales quotas, effective pricing, and margin sustainability, continuously evaluating our programs for opportunities to drive greater growth and financial performance.
 

What you'll do:

  • Engage in sales to merchants and assist team in selling
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and motivating salesperson
  • Coordinating with Marketing in lead creation and marketing plans
  • Monitor performance of salespersons including KPIs and quotas
  • Participate in the development of the sales strategy to drive achievement of performance and financial objectives at both the individual and team level
  • Monitor and stay informed on the industry sales initiatives and trends, to provide recommendations for product development, program enhancements, process changes, etc.
  • Provide input for creation of incentive/campaigns  and help coordinate the rollout of such campaigns
  • Work with Marketing to develop and analyze success of the campaigns and initiatives
  • Understand the business and drive accountability for results through policies, procedures and efficiency initiatives

What we need from you:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years experience leading a self-prospecting sales team in the payments industry
  • Experience with high risk merchant sales preferred

Travel Requirements: 25%

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Base Salary + Commission
