What You’ll Do
The Director of Sales will drive customer acquisition and share of wallet expansion and lead a team of sales professionals to achieve our sales goals. This role involves developing tactical plans, implementing effective strategies, providing essential resources, and tracking progress to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of sales professionals.
- Conduct weekly deal reviews and track daily pipeline activity to monitor team performance.
- Manage and document performance to ensure accountability and excellence.
- Foster a high-energy, collaborative culture built on continual learning and improvement.
- Implement regular training sessions, including role-playing and skill-building exercises.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute tactical sales plans to exceed revenue goals.
- Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities in both existing and new customer accounts.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for optimization.
- Partner with leadership to codify sales processes, refine strategies, and scale repeatable practices.
- Track and manage sales metrics across individuals and teams for clarity and accountability.
Customer-Centric Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Champion a culture of customer obsession, ensuring client needs are top priority.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to align customer strategies.
- Use customer insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement in offerings and experience.
Sales Enablement & Operational Excellence
- Provide strategic guidance on deal structure, objection handling, and closing tactics.
- Leverage CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce) to streamline team efficiency.
- Design and execute targeted skill-building initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Identify and implement tools and systems to drive productivity and team success.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years in sales leadership with a proven track record of managing high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated success in driving upsell/cross-sell strategies and achieving sales goals.
- Deep familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales enablement tools.
- High achievement orientation and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
