LivaNova Neuromodulation:

As pioneers of the VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) Therapy® system, LivaNova continues to advance medical device solutions for patients affected by Drug-Resistant Epilepsy (DRE) and Difficult-to-Treat Depression (DTD).  There are 3 million people in the U.S. alone and one on three people with epilepsy are drug resistant.  People with severe seizures have, on average, a shorter life expectancy and an increased risk of cognitive impairment particularly if the seizures developed in early childhood.  VNS Therapy for DRE is delivered through a device that sends mild pulses to the vagus nerve at regular intervals throughout the day in an effort to prevent seizures.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the VP, Commercial Marketing, Global Epilepsy the Sales Training Director, Neuromodulation will be responsible for enhancing the overall performance of the sales organization through effective learning and development initiatives. This role involves leading a global training team, developing robust training programs, and ensuring that sales teams across various regions are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive profitable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Learning & Development Curriculum:

  • Strategically develop and implement a comprehensive training framework for sales teams, encompassing various aspects of the sales process, product knowledge, and market insights.

  • Create modular training programs that cater to diverse learning styles and ensure accessibility for all team members across global markets.

  • Design and deliver tailored training programs that address specific sales challenges, align with business objectives, and enhance sales competencies.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and regional leaders to gather insights and develop relevant training content.

Management of Global Training Team:

  • Lead and manage a diverse global training team, providing direction, mentoring, and support to ensure high-quality training delivery.

  • Foster a collaborative environment within the team, encouraging innovative training solutions and sharing of best practices across regions.

Onboarding New Sales Staff:

  • Oversee the design and execution of an effective onboarding program for new sales hires, ensuring they swiftly acclimate to company culture and sales processes.

Skill Assessment and Development:

  • Conduct needs assessments and analyze sales performance data to identify training gaps and opportunities for development.

  • Utilize metrics and feedback to track the efficacy of training initiatives and adjust programs as necessary.

Coaching and Mentorship:

  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to sales representatives and sales leaders to refine skills, enhance performance, and drive motivation.

  • Implement mentorship programs to develop future sales leaders within the organization.

Collaboration with Leadership:

  • Work closely with marketing teams, commercial excellence, sales leadership and cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with corporate strategies and priorities.

  • Gather and convey insights from sales teams to inform training and development priorities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and new training methodologies to continuously enhance training programs.

  • Promote a culture of feedback and continuous improvement within the training team and broader sales organization.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of prior experience in sales leadership, training, or learning and development roles, particularly in a global context.

  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing teams.

  • Sales Expertise: Extensive experience in sales, with a deep understanding of effective sales strategies and methodologies.

  • Training Development: Proven track record in designing and implementing impactful learning and development programs in a sales context.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance data and assess training effectiveness, making data-driven decisions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Sciences, engineering) is required; a master’s degree or relevant certifications in training and development may be beneficial.

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000+ discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
