The Director of Sales (DOS), LATAM role combines sales activities with team management and strategic direction for the region. Reporting to the VP of Sales in North America, you will be responsible for building StackAdapt into the top advertising technology company for marketers across LATAM. The DOS serves as the direct manager for an existing team of Account Executives in both Miami and Mexico City. We have big ambitions for our expansion across LATAM and are looking for a seasoned leader to take our LATAM business to new heights.

In this position, the DOS will function as a player-coach, actively working with individual Account Executives to close strategic deals with both agencies and brands. A successful DOS must have a strong understanding of the programmatic media landscape in LATAM to effectively lead the sales team and promote StackAdapt’s solutions. Additionally, the DOS must be able to motivate their team to achieve quotas in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

StackAdapt is a remote-first company, however, this role is region-specific. Only applicants located in Miami or Mexico City will be considered.

What you'll be doing:

  • Mentor a team of 6-8 existing Account Executives in Miami/Mexico City to sell StackAdapt to prospective agencies and brands
  • Work with the leadership team on regional expansion strategyTake ownership of the region and territory. Drive strategy for the area, collaborating with marketing, events, sales, and other internal teams.
  • Create action plans based on competitor landscape to help StackAdapt expand it’s customer footprint in LATAM
  • Support direct reports through weekly 1:1 meetings, coaching, and mentoring as needed for growth
  • Leverage several sales enablement and operations tools (i.e. Salesloft, Gong, Salesforce etc.) to uncover actionable insights that improve team performance
  • Travel with Account Executives to assist them in expanding their current business and securing new opportunities with agencies and brands (approximately 20% travel or as needed)
  • Work with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and provide feedback that supports the overall success of the business

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Extensive experience driving sales in digital ad tech, including 10+ years of experience directly managing a team, budget, and growth strategy for the LATAM region
  • Excellent understanding of programmatic media strategies, agency/brand’s media buying process and the competitive landscape within the digital advertising ecosystem
  • Proven experience in leading and executing change management initiatives, including leading the adoption of new sales strategies, technologies, and processes, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring minimal disruption to sales performance
  • Successful track record selling digital advertising streams into agencies and brands as an individual contributor (ideally within a DSP)
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development to achieve personal and organizational goals.
  • Skilled at building trusted client relationships and serving as an escalation point; adept in conflict resolution and relationship management.
  • Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally, working with client service counterparts to identify and address specific client and prospect needs.
