We are looking for a passionate and experienced Director of Sales and Business Development to lead our Business Development (BD) Team and help us achieve our ambitious growth goals.
As the Director of Sales and Business Development, you will work closely with the National Revenue Operations and Growth Enablement Leader to develop and execute go-to-market strategies. You will oversee the BD Team, ensuring alignment with our growth objectives, accountability, and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team to achieve individual and team sales targets connected to the overall firm-wide sales targets with new logo and origination components.
- Collaborate with the National Revenue Operations and Growth Enablement Leader to define and implement the BD team's go-to-market strategies, setting goals and timelines to achieve targets.
- Support the BD team in identifying, negotiating, and closing new opportunities, accelerating scope and contract negotiations to close deals.
- Manage and grow the BD team's pipeline of new business opportunities with clients and prospects in target industries, sectors, and regions.
- Establish, track, and report on BD Team's overall performance, target achievements, forecast and KPIs, proactively addressing gaps or challenges and using data to inform decision-making.
- Partner with the Growth Leaders and Industry Leaders to manage BD representatives in each industry group.
- Manage the BD team's sales compensation plan, resolving discrepancies and ensuring a clear understanding of incentives and commission.
- Create and implement BD team processes, ways of working, and professional development initiatives to drive alignment, accountability, and success.
- Leverage Revenue Operations (RevOps) capabilities to enhance overall business performance and drive growth initiatives
- Support firm culture by connecting Client Experience and Associate Experience and promoting inclusive leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (required).
- MBA or other advanced degree (preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience successfully leading a business development team to deliver results.
- Proven track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
- Strong understanding of sales intelligence tools and technologies to enhance sales processes and decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of the professional services market, including trends, challenges, and competitive landscape.
