About the Position

We are looking for a Director of SaaS Accounting and Billing to join our Accounting and Finance team. The position is within our Corporate Division and will be the Lead Role, managing a team of 5, with direct reporting to the SVP, Controller.

We need a strong leader with experience in a high-tech, fast-paced environment who enjoys simplifying complex issues and processes. You will have the freedom to create and grow professionally and make an immediate impact.

The Director of SaaS Accounting and Billing will provide a broad spectrum of support for a fast-growing, global SaaS technology company, that includes; order-to-cash billing cycles, revenue recognition, cash application, cashflow management, sales taxes, team mentoring, and monthly closing/reporting activities. The role offers a multi-faceted experience with full visibility of the organization as well as large opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and exposure to senior leadership across the entire Quilt business. The ideal candidate is an ambitious self-starter who is highly motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the order-to-cash subscription revenue process across all Quilt business units, including; Billing systems technology management (Recurly, Staxbill, Salesforce, Netsuite, Chargebee, Avalara, Kapitxx, Stripe, non-integrated M&A): Evaluate, implement, and optimize revenue operations technologies, systems, and tools to support scalability, automation, and efficiency in subscription revenue management
  • Billing team leadership: build and lead a high-performing revenue operations team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to drive individual and collective success.
  • Drive the subscription revenue accounting process and month-end close (for all core and non-core, add-on subscription and maintenance revenues)
  • Own all subscription-related setup and implementation revenue and associated deferred revenues
  • Manage recurring and non-recurring price increases and credits/ discounts/refunds.
  • Own cash collection and oversight of all accounts receivable aging balances and undeposited funds/ cash in transit
  • Collaborate closely with finance, customer success, sales/marketing to align strategies, streamline processes, and drive cohesive revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Lead integration of new M&A SaaS into billing systems
  • Collaborate with finance on data-driven approaches to analyze subscription metrics, identify opportunities for revenue optimization, and drive initiatives to increase subscriber acquisition, retention, and upsell.
Position Requirements:
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong Excel skills required; Financial systems experience highly preferred
  • Experience in software industry, ideally software as a service (SaaS) experience and understanding of related finance and accounting issues desired
  • Working knowledge of foreign currency translation
  • The position is remote and requires minimal to no-travel

Salary: $110,000
