    Job Description Summary

    As the Director, you'll lead a team that reviews regulatory issues, responds to, and resolves high impact, external concerns and/or issues from customers, internal business partners and/or external entities. We'll count on you to lead a team handling sensitive issues with professionalism, care, and flexibility, aligned with overall company processes and procedures, ensuring customer expectations are met in a timely manner and supporting an improved overall customer experience. In addition, you'll review regulatory trends and recommend process and practice improvements.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Direct the drafting of contracts, regulatory filings, and negotiation of approvals, as well as the establishment of compliance guidelines.

    • Oversee the development and maintenance of compliance programs and related documentation.

    • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of required regulatory disclosures and filings.

    • Review policy forms, agreements, and related documentation for compliance with applicable regulations.

    • Maintain programs to keep operational areas informed of regulatory requirements.

    • Build and manage relationships with regulatory agencies to facilitate approvals, meetings, hearings, and other compliance activities.

    • Serve as liaison with internal legal, compliance, and government relations teams, as well as external partners.

    • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assist in efforts to address changes impacting the business.

    • Coordinate planning processes for assigned products or services.

    • Manage associates, including performance management, salary planning, training and development, workflow planning, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

    May perform other responsibilities as assigned. 

    Reporting Relationships: Reports to AVP/VP.

    Typical Skills and Experiences: 

    Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting, law, or a related field preferred.

    License/Certification: Industry designations (e.g., CLU, ChFC) preferred.
     

    Experience: Ten years of related work experience, including compliance, regulatory, or operational leadership roles preferred.

    Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services and/or insurance. Ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and policy provisions. Skilled in contract management, compliance oversight, and product development strategies. Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies. Ability to set priorities, recommend solutions, and lead teams effectively.

    Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

    Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

    The national salary range for Director, Regulatory Solutions : $122,000.00-$214,000.00

    The expected starting salary range for Director, Regulatory Solutions : $122,000.00 - $182,000.00
