Director, Product
Role Overview
As the Director, Product you will be a key driver of Eon’s mission. You will help lead the product development and management team. Your role will involve driving the creation of cutting-edge products that enhance patient care and improve overall health outcomes. Your expertise will be instrumental in making informed decisions that drive the growth and success of Eon.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive execution on Eon’s product vision, translating strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and product development plans.
• Execute the strategy and lead teams to develop, support, enforce, and integrate best practices for product and technology standards across the organization.
• Continue promoting a data-driven product development culture, driving the adoption of clear metrics and KPIs to ensure broad alignment across the entire business towards shared outcomes.
• Champion a user experience that is engaging, inspiring, and helpful to all those utilizing the platform using prior experience-based intuition as well as iterative data insights generated by the existing product.
• Identify, effectively communicate, and execute the product vision to bring solutions to market to both the organization and Board Members.
• Attract, recruit, develop and retain world-class talent and build a high-performance product organization.
• Continue to build for scale while maintaining a nimble and agile culture. Keep a “big picture” mindset and deploy “startup” practices.
• Serve as a product evangelist for Eon.
• Foster an environment of empowerment, learning, and professional development by providing mentorship and coaching to the product team.
• Roadmapping, internal product analytics/metrics.
• Establishing internal product processes (define and implement a formal product life cycle process including scoping, vetting, reviewing, gating, releasing, etc).
• Coordinating releases with CX/Implementation/ Sales, Marketing, onboarding.
• Setting up a formal clinical / cross-R&D governance process, partnering with Marketing to define pilot/dev partnership processes.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in product management, with a focus on healthcare software, HIEs or interoperability solutions. Hands-on experience with Epic integrations (CDS hooks, BPAs, custom worklists, MyChart communication, EDI, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7), EMR integration architectures, and API-based data exchange.
- Proven ability to analyze complex healthcare workflows and translate them into product requirements that support operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with healthcare providers, technical teams, and third-party vendors to gather insights and prioritize product requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration). An advanced degree is a plus.
