DIRECTV is seeking a Product Marketing Director. This strategic leader will lead development and execution of the strategic channel design for content curation, providing the best available content discovery experience, driving customer engagement and product upsell through a balance of personalized and editorial merchandising.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Develop strategy to create an exceptional, engaging content discovery experience across multiple packages and platforms.
  • Integrate editorial acumen and data analysis with personalization and recommendation tools to drive customer engagement.
  • Directly execute the curation strategy across all packages/platforms, becoming an expert in the Curation Manager Tool.
  • Continually refine DIRECTV’s approach to content curation in partnership with Product, UI/UX, and Engineering teams.
  • Track performance, utilizing viewership and user data to improve system algorithms, editorial direction, and platform capabilities.
  • Assist in developing a unique editorial voice.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including Product, Content, Marketing, Acquisition, Retention, and Ad Sales to achieve company goals.
  • Engage with external content distribution partners to create custom curation strategies that tie to business goals.
  • Act as a content SME to the broader enterprise.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital content curation or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of content landscape across linear, premium, and FAST offerings.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and digital tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform merchandising strategies.
  • History of working closely with engineering/IT teams to deliver product enhancements.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to develop and present strategic frameworks, summaries, and roadmaps.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

This role requires a small amount of travel, approximately but not limited to, 10%.

This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States, with a preference to the Los Angeles/El Segundo, CA, area. #LI-Remote

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $127,965 - $232,415

Low (N1): $127,965 - $191,995

Mid (N2): $134,700 - $202,100

High (N3): $148,170 - $222,310

Top (N4): $154,905 - $232,415
