Job Summary:
As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our platform by owning core product marketing elements including our ICP, product positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, sales enablement tools, and go-to-market strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with product management, sales, marketing, customer success, and other internal teams to align on product strategy and ensure successful adoption and growth. This role demands a strategic leader with deep expertise in the enterprise tech space, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving the challenges of modern software development.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the product marketing strategy to support business objectives and revenue growth.

  • Build and manage a high-performing product marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that resonate with IT leaders, developers, LOB leaders and enterprise decision-makers.

  • Ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external channels.

  • Drive sales teams’ command of message in partnership with Sales Enablement. 

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Lead go-to-market (GTM) planning and execution for new product launches and updates.

  • Partner with sales enablement teams to create compelling materials, including presentations, datasheets, battle cards, and case studies.

  • Partner with sales and marketing to ensure that successful routes to market and sales strategies are deployed to maximize new logo wins. 

Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics.

  • Develop tailored competitive positioning strategies to differentiate OutSystems from key competitors. 

  • Equip sales and marketing teams with actionable insights to differentiate OutSystems in the marketplace.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with product management to align marketing strategies with the product roadmap.

  • Partner with demand generation, analyst relations, and corporate communications to drive awareness, pipeline growth, and won business. 

Metrics & Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on key product marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing in enterprise software or SaaS, preferably with experience in the software development or low-code space or marketing to IT/Development professionals. 

  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and translate technical features into business value.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing teams.

  • Expertise in competitive positioning and differentiation in a crowded market.

  • Experience working with sales teams to develop enablement materials and drive alignment.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Comfortable being an evangelist for the business at industry events. 

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

  • Solid understanding of a demand generation and sales cycle, and how product marketing work feeds into demand gen funnel optimizations.
