Role Description

Dropbox is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy and execution of the the file storage and sharing (FSS) product engagement experience —powered by Dash, the new intelligent, AI-powered universal search and organizational assistant.

In this highly visible and cross functional role, you’ll help shape the future of a platform loved by over 700M+ users worldwide how users engage with the core Dropbox FSS experience, creating a personalized, contextual surface that helps people focus on workflows that matter to them most. You’ll shape how AI brings order, insight, and flow to users’ work across content, tools, and teams.

FSS and Dropbox home is the most visible and strategic surface; where intent, context, and action come together. This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of product vision, design intuition, and technical fluency in AI systems. You’ll be responsible for building the engagement experience that becomes the heartbeat of productivity for millions of Dropbox users.

This position demands a balance of customer obsession, technical fluency in AI/ML systems, and strong product instincts. You’ll navigate across executive and IC audiences, translating ambiguous opportunities into clear, scalable strategies. Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Dropbox core product engagement as the central hub of the user experience.
  • Define how AI can intelligently organize work, surfacing what’s most relevant, actionable, and timely for every user.
  • Translate ambiguous user needs and AI opportunities into clear product strategies, experiments, and execution plans.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, and GTM teams to deliver a cohesive, intelligent, and delightful daily experience.
  • Collaborate with Dropbox’s AI/ML and Platform teams to ensure scalable, privacy-respecting, and high-performance AI integrations.
  • Drive deep alignment across teams, ensuring engagement is prioritized amongst different engagement surfaces across web, mobile and desktop are
  • Establish success metrics, drive disciplined experimentation, and deliver measurable impact through continuous iteration.
  • Act as a thought leader, manage and lead other PMs, shaping company-wide AI product strategy, and champion customer needs across Dropbox.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in product management, engineering, or data-driven product development
  • 12+ years of product management experience, including ownership of major product initiatives end-to-end, including 4+ years in people management.
  • Proven success building and shipping AI-powered products at scale—especially in productivity, SaaS, or consumer software.
  • Deep product sense and UX intuition, with a focus on user motivation, engagement, and flow.
  • Comfort operating in 0→1, pre-PMF environments with shifting priorities and open-ended problem spaces.
  • Deeply understand customer workflows and pain points through user research, data analysis, and competitive insights.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills; you can lead and inspire teams and influence at every level, from ICs to executives.
  • Passion for the future of work, AI, and building products that help people focus on what matters most.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in AI/ML, personalization, or information retrieval.
  • Experience building home, feed, or assistant-style products that aggregate and surface contextual information.
  • Familiarity with privacy, security, and ethical considerations in AI-driven experiences.
  • Strong understanding of user behavior and engagement metrics for daily-use products.
