Who We Are

Sureify’s mission is to modernize the life insurance and annuity industry by helping carriers acquire, service, and engage their customers through any distribution channel. Sureify’s products empower life insurance carriers, agents, employees, and customers to have the digital experiences employees and consumers have come to expect in the rapidly advancing tech climate.

About the Role

Sureify is seeking a highly experienced Senior Individual Contributor Product Manager—a “Super IC”—to lead discovery and strategy for new product opportunities. This role sits at the Director level on our PM career ladder and is intended for someone who thrives in ambiguity, excels at identifying and validating new product spaces, and can translate complex customer and market problems into clear product direction.

You will take the lead on product discovery for a new product area, engaging deeply with customers, industry experts, and internal stakeholders to define the opportunity, validate its feasibility, and shape the vision for a net-new V1 product. After discovery, you may lead that new product through build-out and launch with an anchor customer, or transition it to another PM.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role. We are deliberately seeking someone with exceptional strengths in Customer Insight and Product Strategy. If you love being out in the field doing discovery, rapidly forming hypotheses, shaping markets, and crafting product narratives—and you’re great at it—this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Product Discovery & Strategy

  • Lead end-to-end discovery for new product areas—customer research, hypothesis development, scoping, concept testing, and early solution prototyping.
  • Engage directly with enterprise customers (in-person when needed) to understand workflows, pain points, and modernization challenges in complex domains.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and adjacent market opportunities to identify where Sureify can create meaningful value.
  • Develop the early vision, strategic framing, and business case for a new product line.
  • Work cross-functionally to refine scope and align engineering, design, sales, and leadership around product direction.

Enterprise Product Leadership

  • Serve as the lead PM for the V1 build of a new product, partnering with engineering and design as the primary decision-maker and product strategist.
  • Shape go-to-market considerations in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively across executive, technical, and customer audiences.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Partner with Engineering as a thought partner—not an order giver—to co-create solutions that balance customer needs, technical constraints, and long-term product and platform direction.
  • Collaborate with other PMs, particularly for platform areas, to align your vision with the rest of our suite and advance the overall platform.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Support, and InfoSec to ensure alignment with enterprise expectations, deployment realities, and compliance needs.
  • Influence internal stakeholders with data, clarity, and strategic framing; drive alignment even without direct authority.

Optional: People Leadership

  • Although this is a Super IC role, experience and interest in mentoring or leading other PMs is a plus.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Based in the US, or elsewhere in the Americas with strong overlap to US time zones.
  • A keen analytical and strategic mind with exceptional customer insight skills.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a product from idea → discovery → launch.
  • Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or highly configurable cloud applications.
  • Experience serving enterprise customers in complex verticals (insurance highly preferred; finance or healthcare also relevant).
  • A proven record of getting out of the building—conducting field discovery, validating problems in-person, and grounding product decisions in real user insights.
  • Deep empathy for users, internal stakeholders, and enterprise buyers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the life insurance ecosystem.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous spaces and shaping direction from scratch.
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, visual.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering to shape technical approaches.
  • People management experience (nice to have, not required).

$220,000$245,000 USD
