Opportunity Overview:

As we continue to innovate, we are seeking a talented Director, Product Management to help drive the development of our payment accuracy products. This role is critical to scaling our capabilities, expanding the scope of our world class AI-driven clinical intelligence platform, and supporting our mission to improve healthcare decision-making.

The Director, Product Management - Payment Accuracy will own and manage the development of Cohere Health's payment accuracy products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, product managers, clinicians, and business stakeholders, to build and scale platforms that support our clinical intelligence capabilities as we expand them into payment accuracy and create real-world impact.

What you will do:

  • Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for Cohere’s payment accuracy products, aligned with the company's overall technical strategy, product vision and business objectives..
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive platform product & capability roadmap, prioritizing capabilities based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into detailed product specifications.
  • Deeply understand the intricate competitive payment landscape, technical, and regulatory context to support critical user journeys & enables analytically driven decision making across the Cohere business. 
  • Champion a narrative-driven approach to product development, clearly communicating features and functionalities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead and drive narrative and event storming sessions with cross-functional teams, including engineering, Data/AI teams, architecture, and other product teams, to collaboratively define and refine complex business processes, customer needs, system interactions and data requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, data, and clinical teams to ensure technical feasibility and sound implementation of product features.
  • Leverage data-driven insights, a deep knowledge of your end users, and collaboration with internal clinicians to invent, pilot, and scale new interventions that drive patients and providers towards higher value care and reduce administrative friction. 
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional teams, including insights, data science, sales, and engineering, to gain a deep understanding of business needs, customer challenges, and emerging industry trends, crafting a product vision that addresses these insights.
  • Inspire and empower team members by fostering a growth-oriented environment, helping them excel in their roles, build new skills, and achieve their career aspirations.

Your background & requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management in healthcare with experience working with health plans. 
  • At least 3-4 years managing Product Managers. 
  • Demonstrated experience in measuring product impact and aligning that with the needs of the business (Growth, Operations, etc) and the needs of customers (Providers, Patients, and/or Health Plans).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • A strong sense of customer empathy, with a passion for addressing the most pressing customer challenges and crafting solutions that directly meet their needs.
  • Ability to distill complex, technical concepts into clear, simple communication tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment and understanding across all stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of leading AI and machine learning products from concept to successful delivery.
  • 20% travel

The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
