Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, this Director position is aligned to the product and technology buy-side and sell-side diligence practice. Product diligence services are focused on commercial aspects of the product technology, bridging traditional technical diligence to market and commercial analyses. The Director is accountable for managing teams to the successful delivery of client engagements, maintaining and evolving the product diligence practice materials, supporting business development efforts, and innovating new service offerings.

Manage client-facing project teams to deliver engagements that meet their objectives on time and on budget
Serve as project lead or team member on engagements as needed
Track practitioner skills and support practitioner recruiting efforts
Drive specific product/practice areas and set roadmaps/plans
Manage staffing of product practitioners
Onboard and mentor new practitioners
Contribute to evolving practice/product templates and artifacts
Maintain relationships with practice partners (expert networks, etc.)
Maintain and evolve practice qual materials
Cultivate and build client relationships with top-tier accounts (site visits, QBRs, etc.)
Develop proposals for new diligence opportunities
Scope product diligence engagements; participate in sales calls/SOW writing as needed
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills evidenced by the development and application of product management-related analysis frameworks
- Strong written and oral communication skills demonstrated in management consulting or strategy consulting experience
- Experience analyzing markets and customer needs, preferably in the context of commercial diligence or growth strategy consulting
- Experience managing defining/delivering new software/SaaS offerings and managing product-level P&Ls
- Experience managing teams and developing team members
- Experience managing consulting engagements with executive-level clients
- Willingness and natural tendency to ‘roll up one’s sleeves’ and assist wherever needed
- Team player who will work across the organization and company to continue improving the way we serve our clients
- Coachable, embracing best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement
- Approach critical tasks with drive and energy, with an eye on the bottom line and emphasis on predictable completion
- Technology industry experience, corporate strategy/MBA preferred
