Director, Product Development
Overview:
The Digital Innovation team aims to unlock new business models and distribution channels by bringing new digital value propositions and products to new digital growth segments where there is an opportunity to reduce fragmentation and enhance the user experience.
This role is about driving the future of connected vehicles and urban mobility by bringing new and seamless digital first payment experiences. If you have background in e-mobility and are passionate about driving innovative solutions in EV Charging, Tolling and Parking, we welcome you to apply!
Responsibilities: • Own and drive product through Mastercard's established Product Development process also known as Studio working with cross-functional stakeholders to advance products through product development lifecycle from frame to commercialization.• As product owner, manage product roadmap, define features and influence engineering roadmaps and prioritization based on customer feedback and market research.• Work with business development to identify new opportunities and drive product adoption with key customers (OEMs, Mobility Operators and Technology Partners, etc.).• Develop and refine product value proposition, business case and pricing working with key stakeholders and partners to drive product success. • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g. Regional Product, Platform/Engineering, Legal, Marketing, CX&D, Partnership) to drive business requirements and product/market fit.• Own customer engagements to drive GTM success, develop sales materials and lay the foundations necessary for a successful product commercialization.• Define success criteria, ensure both customer KPIs and Mastercard KPIs can be met• Provide solutioning support to partners' account teams and go-to-market teams, with a focus on Connected Vehicles, Fleet and Urban Mobility.• Identify synergies across use cases in the connected car commerce space with a focus on EV Charging, Tolling and Parking.• Attend mobility conferences and travel to customer workshops as necessary.
All About You:• Strong background and experience working in the automotive payments space or urban mobility designing digital or embedded commerce solutions.• Strong product skills and experience distilling business requirements to tangible product features that deliver a seamless consumer experience journey.• Take full responsibility for projects from conception to completion, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to conceptualize, build, and launch scalable, market-ready products• Ability to articulate detailed product requirements, craft technical solutions, and leverage a deep understanding of system capabilities and constraints to successfully implement new features and improvements• Product competency in payment networks, technology, web services, architecture and APIs, able to understand complex technical concepts, business needs, competitive offering and industry trends and apply them to real-world problems to deliver solutions.• Strong verbal communication, comfortable presenting, influencing, and negotiating at management level, able to shift gears for audiences from different business disciplines of varying technical ability.• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and highly organized, holding self and others to high standards, able to work autonomously and as part of a team, fostering a positive team culture• Open and creative; comfortable with uncertainty in a changing/fast paced environment• Computer Science background preferred
