About the role:

We’re looking for a Pricing Director to own the pricing strategy and algorithms for Garner's business. This role reports to the Head of Finance.

This position is fully remote.

What you will do:
  • Conduct in-depth quantitative research into healthcare insurance markets and Garner's product history to understand optimal pricing strategy
  • Owning Garner’s rates, margin profile, and financial risk in the market for all new business and renewed clients
  • Manage policies related to pricing exceptions, pricing concessions, and performance guarantees
  • Maintaining and scoping improvements to tooling for quoting or renewals 
  • Building, maintaining, and improving complex pricing models for our SAAS and financial risk products 
  • Building ad-hoc pricing models to help inform product decisions and systematizing these models to deliver consistent outcomes 
  • Benchmarking to the competitive landscape to understand how our pricing compares 
  • Managing, developing, motivating, and retaining a team of operations analysts 
What you will bring to the team:
  • 6-10+ years of experience in a strategic problem-solving role; prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or an early stage startup
  • Ability to build and maintain complex data-driven models while uncovering areas of improvement
  • Ability to think in principles and frameworks to understand complex, abstract problems 
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment 
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
Compensation Transparency:

The target salary range for this position is: $201,000 - $235,000. This position is also bonus eligible. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
