The Opportunity...

Centerfield's Brainjolt team is looking for a Director of Paid Media to lead our performance marketing efforts across social, native, and emerging platforms. You’ll work closely with the Head of Paid Media to build and scale campaigns that blend creative storytelling with data-backed performance — managing a talented team of media buyers driving growth through affiliate content for major commerce partners.

Our Paid Media team turns creative ideas into measurable growth across platforms that move fast and evolve even faster. We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has hands-on experience managing large-scale budgets, and knows how to balance performance optimization with creative strategy. How You'll Contribute...
  • Partner with the Head of Paid Media to lead and scale Brainjolt’s paid media strategy across multiple platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest, Taboola, Snapchat, X, etc).

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of media buyers.

  • Brainstorm and test data-driven, performance-optimized ad concepts.

  • Oversee multi-million dollar monthly budgets, optimizing for GMV, ROAS, and margin goals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Data and Product teams to improve tracking, automation, and reporting infrastructure.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with platform partners and stay ahead of new betas and features.

  • Share actionable performance insights with leadership to shape long-term strategy.

  • Stay curious — test new tools, channels, and creative approaches to keep Brainjolt ahead of the curve.

What We're Looking For...
  • 7+ years of experience in paid media, content marketing, or affiliate marketing, with at least 3+ years managing teams.

  • Proven success scaling performance-driven campaigns that deliver real ROI — ideally within e-commerce or affiliate ecosystems.

  • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with the ability to interpret data, model outcomes, and optimize performance.

  • Comfortable shifting strategy quickly in response to performance trends, platform changes, or evolving business needs.

  • Deep understanding of affiliate marketing, e-commerce ecosystems, and digital consumer behavior, particularly how they intersect with content-driven commerce.

  • Strong instinct for identifying trending products, viral content opportunities, and seasonal demand drivers that fuel growth.

  • Experience managing 8+ figure annual budgets across multiple platforms.

  • A mix of creative intuition and data discipline — you can interpret results, inspire new ideas, and guide effective creative testing.

  • Hands-on experience with Canva or similar design tools, with a sharp eye for creative performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to use AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, testing, and optimization processes.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a passion for scaling systems, processes, and people.

Bonus Points...
  • Fluency in additional languages — particularly Italian, German, French, or Spanish

  • Fluency in Japanese is highly valued, especially for candidates with experience managing campaigns on Meta; TikTok or LINE experience is a strong plus
