Are you looking for a role in a company that's solving one of the greatest challenges of our lifetime? Ophelia helps people end their opioid use and restore their quality of life with respect for their time and dignity. Our mission is to make evidence-based treatments for opioid use disorder (OUD) accessible to everyone... and we're looking to bring more people onto our team to help us achieve it.

Ophelia is a venture-backed, healthcare startup that helps individuals with OUD by providing FDA-approved medication and clinical care through a telehealth platform. Our approach is discreet, convenient, and affordable. We've been successfully operating in 14 states for almost four years and we're excited to continue our growth. We are a team of physicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers and White House advisors, backed by leading technology and healthcare investors working to re-imagine and re-build OUD treatment in America.
About the Role

We’re looking for a data-driven Director of Performance Marketing to lead and scale our performance marketing efforts with a small but mighty team. In this high-impact position, you'll have the unique opportunity to drive how people discover and engage with OUD treatment. Your actions will be tied directly to client acquisition, retention, and revenue goals, constantly testing new platforms and approaches to stay ahead of the latest trends in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. This role is ideal for a highly analytical leader who can drive measurable growth across digital channels, particularly Google non-brand search and Meta advertising, while optimizing spend and conversion rates.

Working closely with the VP of Marketing, you'll craft comprehensive marketing strategies that drive client acquisition and serve as a trusted thought partner to leaders across Tech, Data, and Operations.

In this role, you will:
  • Optimize Performance & ROI: Use data to identify trends, track ROI, and effectively manage budgets to ensure maximum value for every marketing dollar spent.
  • Scale SEM & Meta Advertising: Lead Google non-brand search and Meta marketing efforts, optimizing bids, keywords, creative testing, and audience targeting to drive predictable acquisition.
  • Enhance Data & Tech Capabilities: Partner with Commercial, Tech, and Operations to expand the tech stack and improve data capture and tracking.
  • Align Marketing & Finance: Work closely with finance to track revenue-related KPIs, align spend with performance forecasts, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Own Website Growth Strategy: Drive website optimization for lead generation, including content, design, conversion pathways, and ongoing testing (CRO/LPO).
  • Lead & Develop High-Performing Teams:  Mentor and manage a growth marketing team, setting clear goals and fostering a results-driven culture.
  • Drive Innovation & Experimentation: Test and explore new approaches to complex problems, proactively seeking input and iterating based on insights.

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven track record of hitting aggressive growth targets and scaling performance marketing within a DTC/B2C healthcare/health-tech setting, or regulated industry (finance/fintech, insurance, etc.)
  • Deep expertise in SEM & Meta advertising, with a strong grasp of audience targeting, bidding strategies, and creative testing.
  • Highly analytical, using data to drive decisions and unlock new opportunities.
  • Has experience in healthcare marketing and navigating complex policy restrictions.
  • Strong collaborator, able to work cross-functionally with finance, data, tech, and commercial teams.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing strategy with execution.
Skills & Competencies
  • 10+ years relevant work experience, particularly in DTC healthcare marketing or regulated industry, with exposure in highly regulated and data constrained environments
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams of direct and indirect reports in a player/coach capacity
  • Extensive experience in analytics and measurement, including proficiency with data analysis tools and ability to create your own dashboards and analyses.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, effectively articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Effective business acumen and understanding of market dynamics and customer needs
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and growth
Our Benefits Include:
  • Remote work anywhere in the United States
  • Competitive medical, vision, and health insurance (many plans are fully covered for the employee!)
  • 20 days of PTO per year
  • 10 company holidays
  • Work From Home Stipend
  • 401k Contribution Platform
  • Additional benefits offered through our benefits provider such as life insurance, short and long term disability, financial wellness, virtual primary care, among others!
