Reports to: VP, Marketing
About the Role:
We’re looking for a data-driven, strategic, and hands-on Director of Performance Marketing to lead and scale our customer acquisition engine. This role is critical to driving new customer growth, optimizing acquisition costs, and scaling paid and organic channels efficiently. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Lifecycle, Partnerships, and Finance to identify and execute high-impact growth opportunities—both inside and outside the product.
As our first Director-level hire focused solely on performance marketing, you'll bring expertise in growth strategy, experimentation, and measurement, with a passion for building systems that scale. You’ll manage a growing team of performance marketers and channel experts while rolling up your sleeves to make sure we’re executing on high-priority opportunities.
What You’ll Do:

- Experimentation & Optimization: Design and run rigorous A/B and multivariate tests across ad campaigns, landing pages, onboarding flows, and referral programs to improve conversion rates and reduce CAC.
- Full-Funnel Focus: Collaborate closely with Product and Lifecycle teams to unlock in-product acquisition and upsell opportunities, leveraging product-led growth tactics and behavioral triggers.
- Analytics & Budgeting: Own CAC, LTV, and ROI metrics across all paid and SEO acquisition channels. Partner with Finance to build forecasts, set goals, and continuously monitor performance against targets.
- Team Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of performance marketers and channel managers.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in Product, Finance, and Brand to ensure alignment on growth priorities and brand positioning.
- Technology & Tools: Leverage best-in-class tools for campaign management, analytics, attribution, and marketing automation to improve speed and scalability.
What You’ll Bring:
- 8–10+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of building, managing, and scaling performance marketing teams
- Proven success optimizing multi-million dollar marketing budgets across digital acquisition channels
- Deep knowledge of performance marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, attribution and analytics platforms)
- Strong analytical acumen with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets and communicate findings clearly
- Demonstrated experience running high-impact testing programs across web and in-product environments
- Familiarity with product-led growth strategies and working with Product teams to unlock acquisition and expansion opportunities
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Experience building acquisition strategies across different buyer personas and market segments
- A hands-on mindset—you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed to get campaigns launched and optimized
Who You Are:
- Growth Strategist: You think holistically and act decisively, using data to define the most efficient growth path.
- Performance-Obsessed: You’re constantly optimizing and always asking, “How can we improve this?”
- Team Builder: You know how to nurture talent and lead with clarity, support, and vision.
- Collaborative Operator: You thrive in cross-functional environments and are energized by a fast-paced, ever-evolving landscape.
- Proactive Doer: You anticipate needs, identify gaps, and take action before being asked.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in health tech, SaaS, or consumer wellness industries
- Prior exposure to EHR, practice management, or digital health platforms
- Strong working knowledge of attribution models and marketing data stacks
- Experience scaling performance teams through periods of high growth
- Hands-on ability with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, Sigma, Amplitude, or SQL a plus)
Within:
- 1 month: You’ll be fully immersed in our current channels, campaigns, and goals
- 3 months: You’ll have developed a 90-day growth roadmap and launched strategic experiments
- 6 months: You’ll have scaled acquisition programs and be tracking against performance KPIs aligned with revenue goals
