We are seeking a star player who will own the end-to-end creative process for performance media advertising. This individual will blend a strong creative vision with operational excellence to develop and manage large-scale ad projects (upwards of 300 new creatives per month). The primary objective is to consistently test, learn, and optimize creative assets that drive higher value conversions and lower acquisition costs. 
 
Candidates based in San Diego, Ca strongly preferred. 
 
The Role
  1. Creative Strategy & Direction
    • Conceptualize and guide the development of engaging video and static ads for performance channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
    • Infuse fresh, innovative ideas into the creative process while ensuring brand consistency.
  2. Operational Management
    • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to create, review, and deliver 300+ creatives per month on time and within budget.
    • Establish streamlined production processes to maintain high-quality outputs at scale.
  3. Performance Optimization
    • Develop hypothesis-driven test plans to rapidly iterate on creative concepts.
    • Track and analyze performance metrics (CTR, CPA, CAC, ROAS) to identify top-performing ads and inform ongoing improvements.
    • Aggressively focus on fLTV/CAC through continuous creative experimentation and optimization.
  4. Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with marketing, analytics, and product teams to integrate insights into creative briefs.
    • Share learnings and best practices across departments to refine broader marketing strategies.
  5. Budget & Vendor Management
    • Staff up with high quality vendors/freelancers as needed
    • Oversee production budgets and negotiate favorable terms with vendors/freelancers.
    • Ensure deliverables align with quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
  6. Creative Testing & Scalability
    • Implement A/B and multivariate tests to evaluate ad variations.
    • Utilize results to rapidly increase spend on winning creatives and discontinue underperformers (test cheaply, then scale successfully).
  7. Hands-On Execution
    • Jump in and aid in the production of assets
    • Editing, designing, filming
    • Do what it takes to win
 
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years in performance marketing or creative production, ideally with hands-on experience producing video ads and static ads for digital channels.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in creative software tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma), familiarity with paid media platforms, and a strong understanding of performance metrics.
  • Creative Vision: Strong portfolio showcasing the ability to tell compelling stories in a concise, visually engaging way across various digital platforms.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely, on-budget content delivery at scale.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable analyzing performance data, running hypothesis-driven tests, and iterating quickly based on insights.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of working cross-functionally to align creative assets with business objectives.

  • fLTV/CAC Increase: Achieve 20% increase in fLTV/CAC within 6 months through creative testing and campaign optimizations.

USA Salary Range (OTE)
$200,000$250,000 USD
