Job Description:
What You'll Do
Defines and oversees Discover Payment Service's strategy development. Leverages expertise in the payments market landscape to develop and lead critical strategic business initiatives and to identify and execute various business optimization and business growth initiatives including the execution of inorganic business levers.
How You'll Do It

  • Identifies and develops Discover Payment Service's strategic objectives and opportunities in support of this strategy.
  • Leads structuring of programs and projects of diverse scope related to advancing Payment Service's strategy, business objectives, and related initiatives.
  • Develops recommendations and identifies opportunities; leads presentations (e.g., financial technical analysis) and communications to leadership.
  • Leads analysis on strategy development and business opportunities, which may include managing the creation of business case / financial models, valuation, deal rationale, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
  • Leads cross-functional internal teams and external resources to facilitate strategy development and business initiative outcomes. Manages internal and external relationships related to strategy and business opportunity development.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelors Business Administration and Management
  • Bachelors Social Sciences
  • 11+ years M&A, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Transaction Advisory, Consulting, or related
  • 4+ years Payments, Financial Services, or related

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $177,500.00 to $270,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
