Fullsteam is searching for an experienced Marketing Director to lead marketing, with a focus on demand generation, for multiple business units selling vertical B2B SaaS solutions. Market segments are from SMB to large enterprises in multiple niche vertical markets.

Working closely with leadership, sales, CX, and product organizations, the Marketing Director will build out a world-class demand generation function to support revenue goals. They will also contribute to building and executing a successful, mid/long-term growth strategies.  

The ideal candidate for this position is a both strategic thinker and tactical leader who has demonstrated experience building out a marketing function, collaborating deeply with sales and product teams, and delivering marketing-leading revenue growth. 

This is a hands-on position, where the candidate will be directly involved with paid digital, social, and organic marketing efforts. 

This role will report to the Vertical President and work in close collaboration with the business unit GM and functional leaders. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • You will build a world-class marketing function across multiple business units and product lines within the Emerging ERP Vertical, selling vertical B2B SaaS and payments solutions to small, mid-market and enterprise wire & cable, rental, and industrial recycling customers.
  • This is a build and scale role with a high degree of autonomy; you will design holistic growth marketing strategies, optimize or augment existing strategies, and own execution and results. 
  • Own and optimize all marketing channels. Adhere to a data-driven marketing approach, using previous performance and leading indicators to quickly adjust tactics and spend. 
  • Own relationships with marketing vendors and drive performance. 
  • Manage account-based marketing initiatives to support Enterprise sales. 
  • Collaborate with management, sales, and product, to refine ICP and target customer segments, and adjust marketing tactics accordingly. 
  • Collaborate with sales to deliver and score leads and continually optimize the lead delivery process to balance quality, quantity, and ICP fit from all marketing channels. 
  • Collaborate with product and CS teams to build marketing and communications calendars and support new product and feature launches. 
  • Develop and execute short/mid/long-term marketing activities to build top/mid/bottom funnel pipeline to support revenue goals and increase market share. 
  • Aggregate and analyze KPI and performance data on a regular basis and provide weekly reporting, insights, and recommendations to leadership. 
  • Conduct market and competitive research and draw insights to optimize demand generation strategies that translate into results. 
  • Implement customer marketing initiatives to improve customer engagement and retention. 
  • Develop strategies and tactics to increase brand awareness both online and offline. 
  • Accurately forecast pipeline and participate in planning and presentation sessions. 
  • Represent marketing function to support financial planning and budgeting processes. 

The candidate will bring: 

  • Personal experience with paid digital marketing platforms and campaigns 
  • Experience with web analytics, content marketing, SEO, and social media. 
  • Vertical B2B SaaS experience is a key requirement.  
  • Proven success in building and leading high-performing marketing functions in growth environments for a $50mm+ business. 
  • Experience working with sales and product teams to take new products to market. 
  • Demonstrated track record of collaborating with sales teams to hit or exceed revenue goals. 
  • Experience managing external marketing vendors and agencies. 
  • Mastery at managing to KPIs that matter; obsession with leveraging data to inform strategy, optimize tactics, and deliver results. 
  • Experienced power-user of marketing automation and advertising platforms. 
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization face-to-face and remotely. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed environment. 

Primary Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of marketing experience in B2B software targeting mid-market and enterprise customers. 
  • Heavy industry experience is preferred but not required. 
  • High competency in project and stakeholder management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a thought partner to help develop growth strategies as well manage tactical marketing operations on a day-to-day basis. 
  • Proven track record of success building and managing world-class marketing functions. 
  • Strong written, phone, and in-person communicator. 
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills. 
  • Detailed, organized and results-oriented, with ability to effectively prioritize. 
  • Travel as required by business needs.
