As the Director, IT, S/4HANA E2E Integration for Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will lead the strategic design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-wide technical architecture solutions that enable Honeywell's S/4HANA transformation. Your leadership will be instrumental in defining the end-to-end technical blueprint, establishing architectural standards, and ensuring seamless integration across all technology layers of our global SAP landscape.

You will play a central role in shaping the technical foundation of our S/4HANA ecosystem, driving architectural excellence across infrastructure, integration, data, security, and application layers while partnering with IT, business units, and implementation partners to deliver scalable, resilient, and future-ready solutions.

You will report directly to our Sr Dir S4 Transformation, and you'll work out of one of our Phoenix, AZ or Charlotte, NC locations on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Lead and mentor a global team of enterprise architects, solution architects, and technical specialists responsible for designing and governing the S/4HANA technical architecture across all deployment waves.
  • Define and maintain the enterprise technical architecture framework, establishing standards, patterns, and guardrails for infrastructure, integration, security, data management, and application design.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including architecture, development, an governance of extensions and integrations across SAP and non-SAP environments. 
  • Proven expertise in leveraging BTP services (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, security, and analytics) to support enterprise-scale SAP S/4 HANA transformations
  • Demonstrated hands-on delivery experience with BTP, including building custom extensions, managing integrations, and supporting cloud-native SAP solutions using BTP services and tools.
  • Oversee end-to-end architectural planning across cloud infrastructure (RISE with SAP/Hyperscaler), integration middleware, master data management, analytics, and extension platforms.
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and digital transformation roadmaps.
  • Ensure architectural compliance with global standards for performance, scalability, security, resilience, and regulatory requirements across all S/4HANA implementations.
  • Drive integration strategy across ERP, CRM, PLM, MES, analytics ecosystems, and third-party applications, establishing reusable integration patterns and API governance.
  • Lead technical risk management and architectural reviews, identifying potential blockers, dependencies, and technical debt while defining mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and application teams to ensure architectural coherence and operational excellence.
  • Champion innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies including AI/ML, automation, cloud-native services, and advanced analytics into the S/4HANA ecosystem.
  • Establish architecture governance processes including design reviews, technical standards, reference architectures, and decision frameworks to ensure consistency across global implementations.
  • Cultivate a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning across architecture and engineering teams.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8 or more years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technical leadership roles within large-scale IT transformations.
  • 5 or more years of direct experience leading technical architecture for ERP transformations, ideally in S/4HANA or equivalent global ERP ecosystems.
  • Proven expertise in designing end-to-end technical architectures including cloud infrastructure, integration platforms, data architecture, security frameworks, and application layers.
  • Deep understanding of SAP technical architecture components including SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Data Intelligence, ABAP Cloud, and extension frameworks.
  • Strong background in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid cloud models, and RISE with SAP deployment patterns.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional architecture teams and managing complex stakeholder environments across business, IT, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively at executive and technical levels.
  • Proven ability to balance innovation with pragmatism, making architectural trade-offs that deliver both short-term value and long-term scalability.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture within complex, global organizations.
  • Experience with RISE with SAP, S/4HANA Cloud (public/private editions), or hybrid deployment architectures.
  • Deep familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile/SAFe, or DevOps methodologies and their application to enterprise architecture.
  • Prior experience in Aerospace & Defense or other highly regulated industries with stringent compliance and security requirements.
  • Background in emerging technologies including AI/ML integration, intelligent automation, API-first design, and cloud-native development.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns and technologies across ERP, CRM, PLM, MES, IoT, and advanced analytics ecosystems.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, SAP Certified Technology Architect, AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, or equivalent credentials.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern software engineering
