Resource Innovations is seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services to join our team remotely or in Salt Lake City area. The Director of IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and continuous improvement of the organization’s IT infrastructure and platform services. This role oversees the design, implementation, security, and performance of core infrastructure services including network operations, cloud platforms, identity and access management, certificates, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and end-user support services.

The Director will also lead teams responsible for Service Desk operations, infrastructure engineering, and cloud services, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology platforms that support business operations. This role partners closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to deliver infrastructure services aligned with organizational strategy and security standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy & Operations

  • Develop and execute the enterprise infrastructure strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of enterprise infrastructure platforms including cloud environments, networks, and core IT services.
  • Ensure infrastructure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable to support business operations.
  • Lead modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, infrastructure automation, and platform optimization.
  • Establish standards, policies, and governance for infrastructure services.

Cloud Platform Leadership

  • Oversee enterprise cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Manage cloud architecture, operations, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Ensure cloud services follow security, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Partner with application and enterprise systems teams to support cloud-based enterprise platforms.

End User Services & Service Desk

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the IT Service Desk and end-user support teams.
  • Ensure high-quality IT support services for employees across the organization.
  • Establish and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational performance metrics.
  • Implement tools and processes to improve user support efficiency and service delivery.

Microsoft Platform Administration

  • Oversee administration and optimization of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
  • Manage identity and access management within Microsoft environments including Azure Active Directory.
  • Ensure proper configuration, security, and lifecycle management of Microsoft services.

Network & Infrastructure Engineering

  • Provide oversight of enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
  • Ensure network reliability, security, and performance across all locations and cloud environments.
  • Manage infrastructure components including servers, storage, and connectivity.

Security & Certificate Management

  • Oversee infrastructure security practices including certificate management, encryption, and access controls.
  • Ensure proper lifecycle management of SSL/TLS certificates and related security infrastructure.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to enforce infrastructure security standards.

Vendor & Platform Management

  • Manage relationships with infrastructure and cloud vendors including Microsoft and AWS.
  • Oversee licensing, service agreements, and vendor performance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and infrastructure tools to improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems or Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or platform engineering

Infrastructure & Cloud Expertise

  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong experience managing enterprise infrastructure including:
    • Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
    • Enterprise networking
    • Identity and access management
    • Infrastructure security and certificates
    • Microsoft 365 services

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Ability to translate infrastructure strategy into operational execution
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing cross-functional IT initiatives
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, enterprise technology environments
  • Focus on delivering high-quality end-user services

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure teams
  • Experience implementing cloud transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing enterprise Microsoft environments
  • Experience operating infrastructure in regulated or security-sensitive environment

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft 365 Certifications
  • ITIL Foundation or ITIL Managing Professional
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar security certification

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $92.5k - 175k. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
