About Better Health

Better Health is a modern medical devices and supplies provider. Backed by world class investors including General Catalyst, 8VC, Mosaic, and Caffeinated Capital, we help consumers directly with urgent medical products that are covered by their insurance, combining expert care and support, modern supply-chain thinking, and technology-first product discovery and selection. Our newest product is scaling fast with excellent unit economics and a strong payback window in the first months after acquisition. We are at an inflection point and the priority is to scale faster and smarter, this is where you come in.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on Director role reporting to the CEO. You will own people and revenue outcomes for DTC sales. The mandate: run the floor, strengthen and grow the team, and architect the systems and AI workflows that make scalable, predictable growth possible.

Key responsibilities
  1. Own revenue and funnel performance for inbound and outbound DTC funnels. Track and optimize key metrics such as: speed to first contact, contact rate, qualification, conversion, and revenue per rep.

  2. Hire, train, coach, and performance-manage reps and frontline managers; run QA and coaching cadences leveraging AI (we’re using AI sales coaching tools, AI calls QA, AI based LMS for training and certifying agents).

  3. Design, configure, and optimize CRM, telephony, routing, IVR, segmentation, and dashboards that tie activity to revenue.

  4. Reduce cycle time and manual work through AI, automation and workflows. Working alongside biz ops for implementation.

  5. Identify, pilot, and scale pragmatic AI use cases to improve key metrics such as contact rate, conversion, QA scores and ensure adoption is measurable.

  6. Partner with Marketing and Product to improve member experience and key funnel KPIs, and RCM and activation team to ensure clean handoffs and maximize retention and revenue realization.

What success looks like in 90 days (brief)
  • Stabilized daily operating rhythm, clear KPIs, and baseline dashboards. The analytics team will be there to build the reports you need, but we expect you to own the right metrics to follow to track the performance of the funnel and the team.

  • First coaching and QA framework in place, with early rep performance improvements.

  • One AI or automation pilot launched that demonstrably improves speed or conversion.

You bring
  • 3+ years leading inside sales or contact center teams, with direct revenue ownership. Sales experience is a must. DTC sales is a big plus.

  • Hands-on systems experience: CRM, telephony/routing, dashboards, workforce planning. TalkDesk is a plus.

  • Practical experience deploying automation and AI in sales or contact center contexts.

  • Strong analytical instincts and a metrics-first mindset. Startup or regulated-healthcare experience preferred.

Why this role matters

You will determine how efficiently we convert warm demand into predictable revenue while delivering fast, insurance-covered care to consumers with urgent medical needs. This role combines people leadership, technical fluency, and operational rigor to accelerate growth.

What you get
  • Competitive base and variable performance comps

  • Competitive equity / stock options

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • 401(k) plan

  • Generous PTO, paid parental leave, and holiday pay.

  • Remote/hybrid flexibility and home-office stipend.

  • A mission-driven role on a team that lives and breathes patient care, puts members at the center of everything we do, and drives measurable improvements in patient outcomes and company growth
