THE POSITION

As a Director of Strategic Sourcing you will impact the overall effectiveness of our indirect sourcing operations, ensuring that processes are streamlined, costs are minimized, and quality standards are met. Your contributions will be essential in fostering a culture of operational excellence and driving strategic initiatives across the organization.

You will report directly to our Sr. Director of Indirect Sourcing Operations and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement operational excellence strategies within the indirect sourcing function, focusing on process optimization and efficiency.
  • Sponsor and govern large-scale transformation initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, digital procurement enablement, and policy/process redesign.
  • Define and oversee enterprise KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track sourcing effectiveness and OpEx impact.
  • Analyze sourcing performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, collaborating with stakeholders to drive initiatives.
  • Partner with global and regional leaders to align OpEx initiatives with business needs while minimizing disruption. 
  • Represent Indirect Sourcing OpEx in enterprise reviews, audits, and leadership forums.
  • Lead a team of Direct reports globally.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 10 plus years of experience in operational excellence or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with sourcing and procurement processes, including supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies for data analysis and project management.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 plus years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in sourcing and operational excellence.
