The Job:  

The Human Resources Director will partner with our Tools and Outdoor Americas Supply Chain organization to develop and execute HR priorities that enable the business to achieve its accelerated growth goals and foster a fulfilling employee experience. As a results-oriented leader, the Human Resources Director will strategize organizational development, talent management, employee relations, training and development, performance management, and HR special projects. Reporting into the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Director will create, execute, and improve upon both strategic people initiatives and process improvements.  This role supports ~1000 employees, 3 manufacturing locations and multiple corporate locations.  

As a Human Resource Director, you will work as a remote employee and travel 50% of the time. You’ll get to:   

  • Business Partner:  Support Smart Storage, Planning, Customer Service, Customer Supply Chain and Transportation by aligning with the team’s people strategy and business strategy. Serve as a trusted advisor and activator within talent management, organizational design, matrixed org partnership, development needs and more. 

  

  • Project Planning & Execution:  Effectively communicate and execute corporate initiatives, programs, and projects. Work cohesively with all functional organizations (at all levels) to deliver expected results consistently. 
      
  • Change Management:  Act as a change agent and partner to the business and implement processes and approaches which prepare employees for ongoing change and transformation and improve organizational efficiency. 
      
  • Strategy & Implementation: Serve as strategy lead for process improvement initiatives. Use HR data to understand existing process and identify areas for standardization and automation solutions. Provide the strategic vision for this client group and partner with several key leaders to implementation to agreed up goals. 
  • Organizational Design: Serve as strategy lead and thought partner for organizational structure and alignment that promotes efficiency, collaboration and speed. 
  • Manager to four direct reports and support their development at Stanley Black & Decker. 

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources 
  • An advanced degree in Human Resource Management a plus. 
  • 10+ years of Human Resource experience with a strong focus on business partnering, coaching, progressive org development, employee relations, and operational HR excellence. 
  • SHRM certification preferred but not required. 
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, agility, and resilience to thrive on change and competing priorities and timelines. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to manage across functions at various levels. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills. 
  • You love to learn and grow
