The Role

We’re looking for a Director, Head of Creators to lead our strategy for creator acquisition, onboarding, and retention. This role will shape how Linktree expands its user base across key creator verticals and new business categories (like real estate, restaurants, and fitness), while ensuring our most valuable users get the support and success outcomes they need.

This leader will sit at the intersection of growth marketing, partnerships, and customer success, developing scalable programs to attract, onboard, and grow creators and small businesses globally. You’ll build the systems and partnerships that create a self-sustaining acquisition and retention flywheel.

What You’ll Do

Growth Strategy & Vertical Expansion
  • Working closely with vertical leads, shape the acquisition and activation strategy for creators across prioritized verticals (eg. music, podcasts, etc), defining the playbooks that unlock repeatable growth.
  • Partner with Insights and Growth Marketing to identify high-potential segments, test acquisition levers, and build conversion funnels that move users from awareness to activation.
  • Develop vertical-specific go-to-market strategies for potential growth categories.
  • Nurture relationships with our most influential creators while being strategic about how to best to leverage for long tail acquisition.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
  • Lead partnerships that drive distribution, awareness, and adoption, including platform integrations, creator networks, and category associations.
  • Collaborate on co-marketing campaigns and ambassador programs that position Linktree as the default choice for creators.
  • Partner with growth marketing and product on scalable frameworks for referral, affiliate, and ecosystem programs that accelerate growth in key verticals.

Creator Support Systems
  • Design and operationalize the onboarding experience for our highest priority creators to ensure rapid activation and high retention.
  • Scope and design appropriate tiering systems for support in a way that designates the right level of support for creators and scales effectively.
  • Partner with Customer Support and Lifecycle to create differentiated experiences for high-value users, including education, playbooks, and direct support models.
  • Build feedback loops from top creators to inform growth, product, and messaging strategies.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build and lead a small, high-leverage team spanning partnerships, creator success, and vertical growth.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Product, and Partnerships to align on metrics, initiatives, and insights.
  • Serve as a key voice in how Linktree expands from a creator-first brand into a platform for all digital entrepreneurs.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8–12+ years of experience in growth, partnerships, or marketing leadership, ideally within creator economy, SaaS, or digital platform environments.
  • Proven success designing and running partnership strategies that drive scaled customer acquisition, not just account management for top partners.
  • Strong understanding of creator behavior, including what drives adoption, retention, and monetization.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams and turning data into strategic insight and action.
  • Balance of analytical rigor and creative marketing instinct; able to zoom between strategy and execution.
  • Bonus Points: experience with SMB and creator-preneur segments.

Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $190,000-$215,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.

P.S. If you don’t tick every box in this listing, please don’t rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes – so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button!
