The Role
We are seeking a highly proactive and adaptable treasury leader to join our finance team as Director, Global Treasury. This role is critical to managing cash across markets, ensuring liquidity, driving forecasting, and enabling safe and scalable operations. Success in this role demands strong technical treasury skills, combined with the ownership mindset of a builder: someone who thrives in ambiguity, learns independently, and communicates cross-functionally with clarity and initiative.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Treasury & Liquidity Optimization
- Design and maintain dynamic global cash flow forecasting models, integrating inputs from FP&A, Accounting, and Loan Operations.
- Partner with the Controller and CFO to optimize short-term liquidity and allocate capital across markets effectively.
- Own and improve treasury KPIs and internal dashboards for real-time visibility.
- Cash Movement & Wallet Infrastructure
- Understand and manage cash movement across digital wallets, banks, and markets (with real-time vs. delayed access).
- Ensure all global treasury rails operate reliably and are documented for compliance and audits.
- Lead new bank account setups and treasury infrastructure for market launches.
- FX Risk Management & Hedging Strategy
- Monitor currency risk exposure and support cost-effective FX conversion strategies.
- Collaborate with Finance on FX repatriation planning and execution.
- Assist in developing lightweight hedging frameworks for key markets.
- Treasury Innovation & Technology Integration
- Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing next-generation treasury management systems (TMS) with advanced cash management, FX desk automation, and digital banking integrations.
- Explore emerging technologies, such as AI-driven forecasting, blockchain for cross-border payments, and digital wallets to enhance treasury efficiency.
- Leadership & Strategic Advisory
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing data-driven insights on treasury strategy and risk mitigation.
- Support Capital Markets Strategy
- Assist in treasury-related aspects of debt financing, lender relations, loan operations, and loan compliance, working closely with the finance and capital market team teams.
- Support the development of a capital markets strategy, ensuring that treasury supports company expansion efforts.
- Emerging Technologies & Blockchain/Crypto Strategy
- Explore blockchain and crypto-based solutions to enhance treasury infrastructure, including cross-border payments, liquidity management, and settlement efficiency.
- Evaluate strategic use cases for stablecoins, tokenized assets, and digital wallets, in collaboration with Legal and Compliance to ensure regulatory alignment.
What You'll Need
- 10+ years of treasury or corporate finance experience, with hands-on experience managing global liquidity.
- Proven ability to self-start and figure things out independently in dynamic, unstructured environments.
- Prior experience in fintech, payments, startups, or high-growth businesses with lean teams.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling and a practical, detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills — you proactively loop in stakeholders and clarify blockers.
- Strong judgment in balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Deep understanding of cash management, FX hedging, capital allocation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to evaluate and implement treasury management systems, API integrations, and AI-driven forecasting.
- Past success ramping quickly in a complex or global finance structure.
- Experience managing digital wallet structures, intercompany cash flows, or treasury in regulated markets.
- Familiarity with NetSuite, TMS tools, or API banking integrations.
- Exposure to blockchain-based treasury innovations — including stablecoins, digital wallets, or cross-border crypto payments — and a clear understanding of their practical use cases and regulatory considerations.
- Passion for using data and tools to drive better decision-making and controls.
