Position Summary
The Onboarding Development Director leads the end-to-end onboarding experience for all newly signed franchisees across the parent company’s portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring each franchisee is strategically aligned, operationally equipped, and culture-ready to successfully launch their business. The role requires strong project management, a deep understanding of franchise operations, and a high level of cross-brand coordination.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Lead onboarding for new franchisees upon signing of franchise agreement.
Serve as the primary contact and support system for new owners through onboarding.
Maintain and update CRM daily with all onboarding progress and candidate status.
Manage all DocuSign processes and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for document execution.
Coordinate vendor activities and ensure complete onboarding support based on brand-specific needs.
Ensure all onboarding tasks are completed in alignment with established timelines.
Manage logistics and execution of Discovery Day, tailoring agendas, content, to align with each brand’s identity.
Present onboarding roadmap during and expectations with confidence and clarity
Build rapport with prospects while maintain alignment with B. Rugged Brands’ mission and values.
Ensure all onboarding materials, equipment, and supplies are ready prior to training in Charlotte.
Oversee timely delivery of materials and setup for hands-on training.
Conduct business development training sessions for new owner’s pre-market launch.
Coordinate smooth handoff of new franchisees to Field Operations teams before training concludes.
Deliver weekly multi-brand onboarding updates to CRO and executive stakeholders.
Maintain operational consistency and compliance within all onboarding platforms and documentation.
Incorporate company culture and values at every step of the onboarding process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in a multi-unit operation, franchise experience required.
- Strong understanding of franchise legal documents.
- Proven competence in relationship-building
- Knowledge of CRM or onboarding platforms, FranConnect preferred.
- Proven ability to partner with outsourced vendors.
- High emotional intelligence, problem-solving ability, and leadership presence.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
