The Role

We are hiring a Director, Finance Systems to own Lumine’s finance technology strategy and lead the optimization of our ERP and related systems. Our core platform is NetSuite which supports our rapidly growing, multi-entity business driven by acquisitions.

This role is equal parts strategic architect and hands-on leader—you’ll set the roadmap, ensure governance, and enable integrated, scalable systems that deliver reliable data for decision-making. You will lead a lean, high-performing Finance Systems team of three, working in a hands-on environment where strategic leadership and direct involvement in delivery are both essential. You’ll work closely with the finance team, our portfolio companies, IT and other key stakeholders to keep our systems running efficiently today, while building the capabilities we’ll need tomorrow.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the Vision & Strategy – Develop and own a clear, forward-looking finance systems strategy and architecture that supports Lumine’s growth. Working with the Director of IT & Data Security, ensure the strategy aligns with business priorities, regulatory requirements, established security standards, and emerging technology opportunities.
  • Lead & Support the Team – Provide direction, guidance, and support to the Finance Systems team to ensure projects are delivered on time, systems are optimized, and daily operations run smoothly. Remove roadblocks and enable the team to perform at its highest level.
  • Oversee ERP Migrations & NetSuite Adoption – Oversee the migrations of non-NetSuite ERPs across portfolio companies onto the NetSuite platform.
  • Enhance Governance & Controls – Design and maintain governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, system security, role-based access, and effective change management processes. Establish clear documentation and controls to meet compliance requirements.
  • Drive System Integrations & Optimization – Lead initiatives to integrate ERP with other critical business systems into a seamless, automated ecosystem, including ensuring effective integrations to reporting and consolidation platforms such as SAP BPC and OneStream. Optimize NetSuite configurations and remove manual processes through automation and workflow improvements.
  • Partner Across the Business – Build strong relationships across functions and portfolio companies to ensure finance systems are aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve – Monitor finance technology trends and market innovations (automation, AI, analytics tools) and recommend solutions that can improve accuracy, timeliness, and insight delivery.
  • Expand System Capabilities – Identify opportunities to enhance and extend the functionality of finance systems, including implementing new modules, features, and automation to support evolving business needs.
  • Champion Change Management & Training – Communicate system changes clearly, develop training materials, and ensure end users across the organization are confident and capable in using finance systems effectively.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management – Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and implementation partners, ensuring deliverables meet Lumine’s quality and compliance standards.

What You Bring

  • Accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent business/IT degree.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance systems or related roles, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity with ERP ownership.
  • Proven experience with NetSuite, including leading or playing a key role in end-to-end ERP implementation(s) required.
  • Experience in global, multi-entity, M&A-driven environments.
  • Proven success in finance process optimization, including system integration, migration, and automation.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools is an asset.
  • Ability to influence across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is an asset.
