Key responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, providing thought leadership and technical direction across customer and internal engagements.
- Technical Evangelism: Represent Memfault at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings to advocate for Device Lifecycle Mangement best practices.
- Solution Design: Partner with customers and prospects to understand their requirements, identify opportunities, and design Memfault solutions that drive measurable impact.
- Product Strategy: Pair feedback from the field with your experience and intuition to influence the product direction and the strategy of the business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure technical alignment and maximize customer outcomes relative to effort.
- Engineering Management: Manage a team of field engineers across multiple geographies. Coach, advise, and support team members to help them achieve their full potential.
Qualification and skills
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or field technology leadership roles.
- Proven success bridging technical and commercial domains-ideally in SaaS, embedded systems, or developer-focused products.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, Linux, bare-metal, and device-level engineering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both engineers and executives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence product direction through customer insights and market feedback.
- Experience representing organizations externally at events or conferences is a plus.
