Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA.

What you will do at Acorns:
  • Experiment Strategy:

    • Define, own, and communicate the company-wide experimentation strategy and roadmap, ensuring strategic alignment with broader business objectives and product goals.

    • Drive high-impact hypothesis generation by understanding consumer psychology and connecting insights from analytics, research, observed customer experience, and competitive trends.

    • Balance the experimentation portfolio to include short-term optimizations, quick wins, long-term innovation, and big swings.

    • Facilitate workshops to translate customer insights into testable hypotheses.

    • Accelerate innovation by partnering with industry experts, academics, and exploring tools like AI.

  • Experiment Enablement:

    • Establish, evangelize, and scale a robust culture of experimentation, building experiment acumen and practiced application across product teams.

    • Develop and improve lightweight, efficient processes with sufficient rigor and recordkeeping.

    • Establish clear guardrails for experimentation ethics, risk, controls, and interpretation to ensure statistical integrity and customer trust.

    • Invest in and unify supporting tools, technologies, templates, and automations.

    • Define and unify common metrics for measuring outcomes and comparing results across all experiments.

    • Facilitate retrospectives and feedback loops to continually improve experiment velocity, efficiency, and impact while removing friction.

  • Experiment Execution:

    • Oversee the end-to-end experimentation lifecycle: from prioritizing high-impact ideas to experiment design, approvals, build, test, and implementation.

    • Lead the analysis of experiment results, collecting insights and learnings to make data-driven decisions.

    • Systemize the process for sharing learnings and scaling "winners" across the organization.

    • Team efficiently and partner closely with cross-functional leaders in Product, Product Design, Engineering, Data Analytics, Research, and Marketing.

What you will bring to Acorns:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in A/B testing, experimentation, or product growth, with a proven track record of driving significant business outcomes.

  • 5+ years of experience working within digital app development, demonstrating a deep understanding of the mobile product lifecycle.

  • 2+ years of people management experience

  • Deep expertise in data analysis, statistical concepts (e.g., p-values, confidence intervals), and power analysis.

  • Proficiency with modern A/B testing platforms (experience with Amplitude is a strong bonus).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into a clear, actionable narrative for diverse audiences, including senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience motivating, supporting, and developing team members to meet performance expectations and build their careers

  • Ability to align company vision and organizational goals with team execution

  • Commitment to upholding policy and procedures per company standards

  • Own strategic decision-making and effectively communicate direction to team members

  • A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to execution.

  • Hunger to deliver game-changing products

  • Exceptional drive and precision in delivery

  • A belief that your work is tied to your life's mission

  • Optimistic about the potential of societal change
