The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role:

The Director, Experience & Merchandising is a strategic role responsible for shaping the digital experience and merchandising strategy across Justrite Safety Group (JSG) ecommerce sites. They will lead a cross-functional team to deliver engaging, user-centered, and conversion-optimized digital properties that strengthen brand leadership, improve customer path-to-purchase, and drive revenue growth. This role requires vision, collaboration, and a data-driven approach to innovation.

In this role, you will report directly to the VP, Ecommerce, setting the stage for your career to soar! This role is your gateway to opportunities for advancement, with the potential to grow within the organization in 3-5 years as you make meaningful contributions to our organizational goals.

About the Team:

Our ECommerce team is at the forefront of driving digital growth and creating seamless online experiences for our customers. We manage and optimize our online platforms, digital marketing initiatives, and marketplace partnerships to ensure our products are accessible whenever and wherever customers shop. With a focus on data-driven decision-making, innovation, and collaboration, the team works across functions to enhance the customer journey, strengthen brand presence, and deliver measurable business results. Always forward-looking, the E-Commerce team plays a critical role in shaping our digital strategy and positioning us for long-term success in an evolving marketplace.

What You’ll Do at Justrite:

  • Set the merchandising and UX vision for JSG ecommerce sites, ensuring they are engaging, high-performing, and conversion-optimized.
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of UX designers, merchandisers, and product content specialists, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Build and manage website roadmaps that drive engagement, strengthen brand leadership in compliance & safety, enrich products, improve merchandising and boost conversions.
  • Champion user-centered design principles, ensuring all web projects are rooted in brand standards, usability best practices, accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness and data-driven insights- partner with Martech on quality, best-in-class technical executions.
  • Drive continual optimization through a defined calendar of structured A/B testing, personalization strategies, and AI-driven insights to enhance SEO, AEO and GEO, content discoverability, and customer journeys.
  • Own digital merchandising strategy across navigation, taxonomy, category pages, search, and product presentation to improve engagement, brand affinity, customer path-to-purchase and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with BU marketing and product, and to ensure all products are launched, enriched, and presented in a way that builds product knowledge and affinity.
  • Define, prioritize, and execute product and experience roadmaps, balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Leverage analytics, customer journey mapping, and usability testing to continuously identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Manage key vendor relationships and growth projects, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient ecommerce technologies are implemented and optimized.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

  • 7–10+ years of experience as a leader in digital commerce with a focus on e-commerce and customer acquisition & loyalty
  • 5+ years of experience creating, implementing and running large scale campaigns
  • 3+ year of experience developing and implementing A/B testing and personalization programs
  • Enterprise commerce platform experience (ex Adobe Commerce, Shopify, SAP Commerce Cloud, etc)
  • Demonstrated revenue growth for a nationwide B2B commerce brand
  • Experience building and owning data & analytics in a digital setting

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $175,000.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance.   Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
