The Director of Epic Reporting Services will lead the strategy and execution of Prominence’s Epic Reporting and Analytics services, acting as both a player and coach.

This role will work closely with the VP of Epic Services to develop new service offerings and oversee project delivery success for large Epic Analytics projects. The role involves managing people and processes, supporting customer and financial health, and contributing to organic growth through expertise, collaboration, and innovation.

This position emphasizes establishing best practices, driving adherence to organizational and industry standards, and ensuring excellence in the delivery of Epic Reporting services. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in Epic Cogito principles, tools, and methodologies with strong leadership skills.

Your Role

Team Health: People Management

· Responsible for team member’s growth and happiness.

· Set clear expectations, goals, and feedback on team and individuals’ performance.

· Lead regular one-on-one and team meetings to maintain alignment and engagement.

· Provide coaching and support to help team members overcome challenges.

· Ensure effective communication within the team and across departments.

· Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

· Manage aspects of the recruiting process, including crafting job postings, reviewing resumes, conducting interview calls, developing interview questions, and facilitating projects, as hiring manager

Team Education

· Champion ongoing learning and professional development.

· Create and maintain role-specific training materials for new hires.

· Own and champion internal reference material and knowledge sharing.

· Partner with the People Team to design, implement, and execute the onboarding experience for new team members.

· Identify mentors for new team members and maintain mentorship processes and deliverables.

Role Processes

· Manage and maintain documentation related to Epic Reporting processes and best practices.

· Provide oversight to ensure processes are followed and tools are used effectively.

· Perform periodic reviews of processes and tools, including soliciting feedback and identifying necessary updates.

· Own role-specific portions of the review template and internal initiatives.

· Facilitate standing team meetings, including setting agendas and guiding discussions.

· Develop materials and own role breakout session at Prominence’s bi-annual company retreats “Summits”, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Customer Health

Subject Matter Expert

· Act as primary or back-up Epic Cogito SME for customer projects as needed, especially during times of team overutilization, outages, and escalations/high-profile projects.

Team Quality

· Responsible for successful delivery of Epic Reporting Services across the team.

· Ensure high-quality work across all projects, including peer reviews and escalation resolution.

· Manage Epic Reporting Services escalations in collaboration with the VP of Epic Services.

· Aid in creating the larger team vision, including fostering innovation and inspiring the team.

Resource Management

· Work closely with the Sales to advise on role staffing, considering team member bandwidth, interests, and skills.

Organic Growth Support

· Know the Prominence value proposition.

· Create specific documentation requested by customers or sales engagements.

· Own role-level estimates for sales scenarios and provide detailed context for estimates.

· Support marketing initiatives and attend conferences to network with current and prospective customers.

· Track issues and successes across projects to prioritize new initiatives.

· Own external reference materials for customers.

Requirements

· Strong experience in Epic Cogito Analytics best practices and implementation methodologies.

· Expertise in Cogito and SQL platforms.

· Proven experience in leadership and people management, including delivering feedback and fostering professional growth.

· Demonstrated ability to manage complex problems and organize competing priorities.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Adaptability in dynamic and evolving environments.

· Comfort navigating ambiguity and creating clarity for the team
