Job Summary

Leads enterprise-wide automation strategy and execution. Oversees the design, deployment, and optimization of intelligent automation solutions—including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Intelligent Process Automation (IPA), Business Automation Workflow (BAW), Business Process Management (BPM) and process optimization frameworks to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations. Partners with IT and business leaders, manages cross-functional automation teams, and ensures governance, security, and measurable ROI. Champions innovation, continuous improvement, and organizational change enablement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a cohesive enterprise automation portfolio aligned to business goals and corporate strategy.
  • Identify high-impact automation opportunities that drive revenue, reduce costs, improve speed, and scale processes.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by introducing tools and methodologies to enhance automation capabilities.
  • Manage the design, deployment, and optimization of solutions including RPA, IPA, BAW, and BPM.
  • Track performance metrics and business outcomes that demonstrate the value of automation investments.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow several multidisciplinary teams responsible for multimillion dollar automation portfolios.
  • Build consultative working relationships with business and technology partners; challenge business assumptions and employ an effective fact-based decision-making process that leads to exceptional business results.
  • Establish frameworks for automation governance, data security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and iterative process refinement.
  • Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of automation and transformation initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, math, computer science, design, business, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience ; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience leading RPA, IPA, BAW, and BPM initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Proven success in delivering automation initiatives that generate measurable business value.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across business, technology, and governance functions.
  • Experience managing automation portfolios, roadmaps, and KPIs through teams of associates and vendor partners.
  • Deep understanding of automation platforms (RPA, IPA, BPM, BAW) and experience incorporating Artificial Intelligence into automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and integration tools (e.g., APIs, iPaaS).
  • Experience with automation governance, security protocols, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMI), including cost estimation, resource planning, and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated application of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align automation initiatives with business objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, including stakeholder management, change enablement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in regulated industries such as insurance or financial services.
  • Experience leading enterprise automation COEs.
  • Certifications in automation platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or Pega.
  • Certifications in BPM or process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), Agile, or PMP.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$138,600.00 - $257,700.00
