Role & Responsibilities
Location: Remote (USA)
We are seeking a Director of Professional Services to lead the development, implementation, and scaling of our API first integrations with clients and partners. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader with deep expertise in systems architecture, cloud platforms, and core engineering, coupled with strong leadership skills to manage high-performing engineering teams either on or offshore.
Reporting to the VP of Technical Operations, the successful candidate is a motivated, hardworking leader who possesses an extremely high bar for themselves and the quality of their work product. This is a highly critical position that requires a breadth of knowledge across multiple systems as well as a depth of knowledge on very specific technologies
- Execute the company’s ProServ client integration roadmap, aligning with business goals and objectives to deliver on revenue
- Lead a high-performing team of engineers to deliver on committed roadmap deliverables on time
- Become a power user and subject matter expert on the VideoAmp API suite and associated functionality and capabilities being able to communicate these internally and externally
- Conduct performance reviews and ensure professional growth opportunities for the team
- Partner with product managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize improvements to core resources
- Translate customer and business needs into technical requirements and actionable projects
TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCIES:
- Deep understanding of Systems Architecture - cloud infrastructure, databases & how systems interact
- Proficiency in Core Engineering - JavaScript, Go, SQL and Data Transformation
- Hands-on experience with integrations or usage of APIs
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Familiarity with the SCRUM process and available organizational tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will be proficient in both people management and technical proficiency.
Additionally, we highlight the following personal, professional, and technological characteristics the ideal candidate will possess:
- 3 + years management experience or experience leading technical teams
- 5 years of experience in architecting and implementing APIs and integration technologies in distributed enterprise environments
- B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, or similarly technical field preferred
- Familiarity with the television, streaming, and digital advertising ecosystem is strongly preferred
- Strong programming skills using a range of technologies, languages, standards, such as REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON, OpenAPI, Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
What We Offer
This position has a salary range of $202,000 - $225,000 + Equity + Benefits. The actual compensation offer will be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, and experience.
