Localize is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Demand Generation with deep experience in marketing to technical audiences, from developers and engineers to IT decision-makers. In this strategic leadership role, you will lead, manage, and scale our fully remote marketing team of 2–3 marketers. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll drive the development of marketing strategy and the execution of integrated campaigns spanning both inbound and outbound efforts. You will help build a robust demand generation function that drives leads, accelerates pipeline, and supports the company’s ambitious revenue growth goals. This is an ideal role for a marketing leader with experience in B2B SaaS (annual contract values $30K–$100K) who can blend strategy with hands-on project management and team leadership.  You have a strong grasp of complex technical concepts and the ability to translate them into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with those who build, deploy, and buy technology. With a blend of marketing strategy and technical expertise, you’ve proven success contributing to and executing high-impact programs that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth.  You will serve as a key partner to the CEO on marketing initiatives, translating high-level vision into actionable strategy and execution.

Localize has achieved strong product-market fit and is now at a pivotal inflection point ready to scale our marketing efforts aggressively and capture market demand for translation automation. As Director of Demand Generation, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the marketing function, from refining our already high-performing inbound channels to launching new outbound initiatives. You’ll work alongside an agile, cross-functional team to drive revenue growth, amplify brand presence, and solidify Localize’s position in the translation space.  If you thrive in shaping effective marketing programs and driving impact through scalable, data-informed strategies, you’ll be a strong fit for this role.

What You'll Accomplish:

  1. Strategic Marketing Leadership
    • Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead the development and execution of  marketing strategies to strengthen our inbound marketing channels while contributing to the expansion of outbound channels such as partnerships and events.
    • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget  by providing input on  resource allocation and tracking ROI across programs.
    • Scalable Demand Generation: Create repeatable, scalable, and data-driven demand generation processes to support company growth goals.
    • Multichannel Campaigns: Plan and drive the  execution of marketing programs—including inbound (SEO, SEM, digital advertising, social media) and outbound (email, ABM, webinars, conferences)—to drive qualified leads from both new prospects and existing customers.
    • Targeted Messaging & Buyer Journey: Align campaign messaging and content to specific audience segments, buyer profiles, and funnel stages.
  2. Team Management & Development
    • Leadership & Mentorship: Directly manage a remote team of 2–3 marketers, setting goals, providing feedback, and regularly evaluating performance.
    • Talent Growth: Identify skills gaps, recruit additional team members as needed, and utilize third-party agencies or contractors effectively.
    • Team Culture: Create an environment of collaboration, accountability, and professional development. Foster a culture of experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement in all marketing initiatives.
  3. Project Management & Execution
    • Project Oversight: Implement robust project management frameworks to ensure timely, within-budget delivery of campaigns and initiatives.
    • Milestone Tracking: Establish clear timelines, deliverables, and accountability structures for each campaign or project.
    • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to align marketing programs with company-wide objectives.
  4. Demand Generation
    • Inbound Optimization: Help build on our existing success in organic search, paid advertising, and content marketing to expand reach and improve conversion rates.
    • Outbound Strategies: Collaborate closely with CEO, COO and Sales Manager to develop and execute outbound campaigns—such as ABM or targeted prospecting—that drive new business opportunities.
    • Campaign Development & Launch: Oversee end-to-end planning and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, adjusting tactics based on real-time data and feedback.
  5. Analytics & Reporting
    • Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as CAC, LTV, and conversion rates. Employ attribution models, media mix modeling, and funnel forecasting to optimize spend.
    • Performance Analysis: Provide regular reporting to executive leadership, offering actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
    • Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging tools or platforms to keep Localize ahead of the market.

Some Skills You'll Need To Bring With You:

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience (3+ in a leadership role), with demonstrated success  in both inbound and outbound demand generation.
  • SaaS & Startup Experience: Proven ability to market  B2B SaaS solutions with mid-market contract values of $30K–$100K in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Team Leadership: Experience hiring, managing, and coaching high-performing marketing teams.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills and familiarity with project management methodologies or tools to keep teams and initiatives on track.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with marketing automation (Hubspot preferred), SEO/SEM, PPC, email marketing, ABM, and analytics platforms.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: Capable of interpreting data to optimize campaigns, measure ROI, and guide strategy.
  • Outstanding Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration & Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving startup environment and pivot quickly based on evolving business needs.

About Localize:

The Localize platform is used by 700+ companies to automate the translation of their web and mobile applications and bring their products & services to new markets at record speed. We support organizations like The Bay Area Toll Authority in translating their payments website, Baptist Health in making their healthcare site multilingual, and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in offering their content in several languages. To see our product in action, click any of those links and use the website's language switcher to switch from English to another language.

Localize works by providing a code snippet (similar to the Google Analytics JavaScript snippet) that our customers add to their website/web app. The Localize snippet pulls in content from the page into the Localize dashboard where our customers log in to add translations and manage their content. Localize automatically deploys those translations to the customer's production site, reducing development costs and accelerating time to market.
