Position Overview

The Director of Analytics is a strategic leader responsible for turning complex data into actionable marketing strategies that drive client success. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong consultative skills, leveraging methodologies such as Brand Lift, Marketing Mix Modeling, Full Funnel and Leading Indicators analyses . The Director collaborates closely with cross-functional media teams (Strategy, Planning, Investment and Measurement) to build holistic measurement frameworks and deliver impactful insights across media and marketing channels.

A trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, this person should be comfortable presenting client-facing points of view on advanced analytics on topics like attribution, segmentation, and forecasting. The Director of analytics also mentors junior talent and drives innovation in analytics tools and approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to help them maximize the potential of data-driven approach for either marketing or revenue purposes
  • Oversees End-to-End analytics project execution from data collection and evaluation to delivery of presentations.
  • Manage the development of existing modeling solutions ensuring model specifications are oriented to answer critical business questions from clients
  • Coordinate analytics data collection and processing standards across the agency, clients and third parties maintaining the highest level of quality assurance.
  • Tailor analytic insights deliverables with end audiences in mind. Ranging from technical reviews for analytic teams, full presentations for media teams and planners.
  • Provides leadership to multiple teams of subordinate managers, including hiring, performance appraisals, coaching and career development.
  • Establish and monitor standards, processes, and communications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Media industry experience is required; familiarity with media strategy, performance measurement, and campaign analytics is essential
  • Experience planning, executing, controlling, and monitoring the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria within established timelines.
  • Experience working in media analytics and hands-on experience with regression analysis, media optimization and forecasting.
  • Experience in client facing analytics and or measurement roles with expertise in summarizing large quantities of quantitative and qualitative information to discover useful information and conclusions that can be used to form insights.
  • Expertise in the collection, measurement, analysis, visualization and interpretation of data.
  • Advanced knowledge of various analytic software and tools, including data visualization tools and statistics packages.
  • Advanced ability to pursue and cultivate business relationships, partnerships, and alliances internally and externally

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ideally 10+ years of relevant business/industry experience, with 5 years of people management preferred.
  • Experience with data management and visualization proficient use of MS Excel and PowerPoint as well  SQL, Tableau, Alteryx 
  • Experience with measurement and custom analytics coding packages: R , Python.
  • Experience with client management
  • Experience with strategy and development
  • Experience with business leadership
