About the Role

We are seeking a Director, Data Product Coordination Lead (Data & Technology), to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will orchestrate enterprise data initiatives and drive alignment across our global data ecosystem. This senior leadership role sits at the center of our data operations, ensuring seamless coordination of data products across business domains and enabling our teams to deliver transformative insights that accelerate clinical research and advance patient care.

You will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the Data Product Coordination function, overseeing a team of domain-aligned coordinators and driving execution across Data Ingestion, Data Engineering, and Data Distribution. In this highly matrixed environment, you'll influence multiple teams without direct authority, establish governance frameworks, and ensure transparent, consistent delivery across the enterprise. Your leadership will establish clear accountability, resolve dependencies, and maintain visibility into portfolio health while building a high-performance culture focused on execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and align data products across business domains, ensuring consistency in priorities, ownership, and delivery expectations while establishing clear accountability
  • Serve as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders and data delivery teams, driving execution across a matrixed organization and influencing teams to deliver shared outcomes
  • Lead intake, prioritization, and demand management of data initiatives, aligning organizational priorities with capacity and maintaining visibility into dependencies and risks
  • Orchestrate end-to-end delivery across Data Ingestion, Data Engineering, and Data Distribution functions, resolving dependencies and ensuring consistent execution
  • Establish communication frameworks, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms that provide transparency into portfolio health and delivery metrics
  • Lead the Data Product Coordination function, establishing processes, operating model standards, and performance management discipline across matrixed teams
  • Build and develop a team of Data Product Coordinators aligned to specific business domains (Clinical, Corporate, Commercial), ensuring they develop deep domain expertise and act as primary alignment points between business and technical teams
  • Coach and develop talent, establishing clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations while building strong domain, delivery, and stakeholder management capabilities
Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with clinical systems, regulated environments, and the life sciences industry, with the ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
  • Strong execution discipline, attention to detail, and comfort working with complex dependencies and cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • 5-7+ years of experience in data, analytics, or technology roles
  • 5-7+ years of data and analytics leadership experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Clinical Trials or Clinical Research industry
  • Deep understanding of clinical systems and clinical trial lifecycles
  • Strong communication and execution skills with demonstrated ability to drive results in complex, matrixed organizations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in life sciences and global clinical research environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise data operating models and data governance frameworks
  • Experience aligning clinical, corporate, and analytics domains within a single organization
  • Experience with corporate and commercial systems including Finance, HR, Sales, and Master Data Management
