As a Director of Cybersecurity Architecture at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls organization, you lead a specific security architecture area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of architecture, systems, applications, security concepts, and product management to lead multiple complex projects and initiatives, make key decisions, and drive innovation in risk identification and creative problem solving.

The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorganChase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.
High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.

Job responsibilities
- Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional architecture objectives .
- Sets strategy for cultivating skills in cybersecurity architects.
- Be accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures.
- Carries governance accountability for cybersecurity coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.
- Develops the function's objectives and accountable for outcomes.
- Be accountable for staffing, budget, and relevant profit and loss.
- Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, and prioritizes diverse representation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on security concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
- Experience analyzing system design and architecture and applying STRIDE methodology for Threat Modeling.
- Experience running teams of architects that design cybersecurity solutions operations on end-user platforms and applications.
- Experience building cybersecurity products and solutions.
- Experience developing and leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
- Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Experience with implementing cybersecurity solutions at scale (>150k systems).
- Understanding of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
