📐 About this role

Customers are at the heart of everything we do at Writer, and our mission as a customer marketing team is to “make our customers famous!” We are looking for a Director of customer marketing to lead this team and bring this mission to life. This role will be responsible for recruiting customer advocates, producing written and video assets, running our customer advisory boards, integrating customer into broader marketing campaigns, and enabling our sales teams to speak on customer stories. 

This role requires passion for storytelling, deep empathy for customers, ability to drive executive engagement, and ability to produce high-quality assets with speed. This candidate must have experience in enterprise marketing and people management.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and customer success to identify and engage customer advocates

  • Develop compelling written and video assets that highlight customer challenges, successes, and the value they derive from Writer

  • Manage and lead customer advisory boards with CXOs at Fortune 500 companies, overseeing strategy, board membership, and meeting content

  • Partner with the broader marketing team to integrate customers into key initiatives such as webinars, podcasts, content, and events 

  • Equip sales teams with the tools and stories they need to effectively communicate the value of Writer to potential customers

  • Work closely with customer success to evangelize Writer’s program management methodology

  • Build strong relationships with executives and cross-functional partners in marketing, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, sales, and customer success

  • Manage and mentor members of the customer marketing team

⭐️ Is this you?

  • A track record of success in customer marketing, including strategy development, asset and campaign execution, and executive engagement

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the tech or SaaS industries

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences

  • A deep understanding of the enterprise market and the buyer’s journey

  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach

  • Strong relationship builder who can collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers

  • “Get things done” mentality with ability to thrive in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment

  • Keen eye for quality and ability to maintain a high bar of excellence for what we produce
