Kettle is a team of passionate, fearless creatives focused on delivering great products, redefining best-practices, and providing new opportunities for our clients. 

We are looking for our first Director, Creative Operations to partner with our Creative, Production, Technology and Account leaders to help define and optimize the processes that will help us succeed as we continue to grow. In this internally focused role, you’ll establish structure and bring clarity to our team that turns creative ideas into reality in the marketing communications space. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual with a passion for and background in problem solving and operations within a creative environment.

Candidates should have:

  • Significant experience in a digital, creative agency and/or fast-paced creative tech organization
  • A background in Production, Program Management, Creative Resourcing, Creative Operations, and/or People Operations, preferably in a growth-oriented environment
  • A problem solver mentality, with the ability to break down complex problems into simple steps and actions, and create streamlined processes
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to influence others at various levels and on cross-functional teams
  • Experience operating at 10,000 feet, and the ability to sit down with creatives and producers to solve day-to-day challenges
  • The ability to work West Coast hours, and/or be located in the SF or LA area

We’d like to know that you can:

Lead and manage projects in the following areas: 

Operations and Resource Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the creative team, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, timelines are met, and projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Continuously evaluate and refine creative processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and adaptability across brands and projects
  • AI implementation and adoption in workflows and process
  • Create and manage dashboards and data for process analysis and improvement
  • Document and think critically about ways of working and collaboration
  • Facilitate and lead the onboarding of new Kettle creatives, optimizing and systematizing that process to set new hires up for success

Team and Culture Building

  • Help shape and communicate team mission, vision, and values development
  • Be the champion for team rituals, events, and meetings strategy
  • With HR and Talent and key discipline leads, develop leveling and career pathways progression and documentation, hiring and onboarding processes, and management standards

Business and Strategy

  • Participate in quarterly and yearly planning discussions
  • Understand team financials, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic goals within budget
  • Contribute to offerings definition and development

The target range of base compensation for this role is $150k-180k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
