About the Role 

As Director of Content Marketing, you will lead PHM’s content strategy and execution to spark awareness, trust, and adoption of our services. You will focus on employee engagement campaigns while also shaping content for employers, brokers, and consumers. Working closely with an external agency and cross-functional teams, you will bring PHM’s value to life through high-quality storytelling that drives measurable enrollment and positions PHM as a thought leader in healthcare. At PHM, content is more than communication — it’s how you inspire trust, drive adoption, and transform health outcomes. As part of our Marketing team, you will shape our voice, amplify our impact, and influence the way we engage with people navigating critical health decisions. 

What You’ll Accomplish 

  • Own employee-facing marketing campaigns that drive enrollment and engagement. 
  • Lead collaboration with an external agency to deliver high-quality, on-brand creative. 
  • Develop content strategies that position PHM as a trusted thought leader. 
  • Write and edit compelling content across formats (whitepapers, guides, campaign copy). 

How You’ll Spend Your Days 

  • Adapting messaging for multiple audiences including employers, brokers, employees, and consumers. 
  • Partnering with subject matter experts and leadership to create timely, credible thought leadership pieces. 
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Account Management to ensure content supports revenue, pipeline, and engagement goals. 
  • Managing editorial calendars and upholding consistent voice, tone, and brand standards. 
  • Monitoring industry trends to identify timely content opportunities. 
  • Optimizing content for multiple channels (web, email, social) to maximize reach. 
  • Measuring and refining content strategies based on performance data. 

What You Bring to the Table 

  • You have exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates storytelling across varied audiences. 
  • You have a proven ability to lead content-driven campaigns that achieve measurable business impact. 
  • You bring 10+ years of content marketing/editorial experience with a meaningful percentage of that in healthcare or employee benefits and B2B. 
  • You have experience managing external agency partnerships to deliver creative, impactful campaigns. 
  • You are a strong collaborator who partners effectively across Marketing, Sales, and Account Management. 
  • You have an editorial mindset with attention to consistency, detail, and brand integrity. 
  • You excel at project management and can prioritize multiple deadlines. 
  • You have an analytical mindset and experience tracking metrics to optimize results.

Compensation 

The target base salary for this position is $140,000–$165,000 with a 12% bonus.  

This base salary is only a part of a total compensation package that also includes health/dental/vision benefits, 401k with match, PTO, and other benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range as a number of factors including market forces, experience, location, disparities in market data, and other relevant business considerations may all factor into final compensation.
