Job Description:

The Director, Compliance Product Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of client accounts and strategic relationships, including third-party technology providers, for Legal Solutions growing Compliance. Identifying and developing a team of high achieving professionals will be integral to success in this role.  The Director will drive the strategic direction, roadmap, and market penetration of the company’s digital products. The successful candidate will be a thought leader driving the product roadmap, and a tremendous team player that builds connections across the organization. A Director of Product will not only help set a vision, but also collaborate with others to realize that vision within a global team.

In addition, the Director of Product Management will be a company-wide leader, advocate, and evangelist for the discipline of product management by taking ownership of key initiatives, removing cross-functional impediments, building operating procedures, and participating in organizational design and process management. This is a hands-on role where successful candidates must be proficient at building a team, but also managing strategy upwards to LS Leadership Teams.  

Further, the Director will be responsible for managing our external partner relationships and maintaining and executing upon our product roadmap for Compliance Solutions and related service offerings.  In this role, the Director will identify and develop product features in conjunction with analytics, technical, and compliance subject matter experts.

The Director will represent the mission, vision and values of Epiq and will exhibit exemplary professional behavior with distinction across all spheres of the Epiq business. They will support the Managing Director, Global Investigations Practice in providing the appropriate level of consultation and expertise sought by Sales, Operations, Finance, DRS and TAR groups. The Director role demonstrates a blend of technical, analytical, problem-solving skills as well as empathy and compassion, creating a positive culture and work environment for their team.

The position will require hands-on project support and ongoing escalation routing and client management as we grow the team.  It will require strategic planning for the business, partner management, and product management to drive long term success.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Relationships:

  • Identify and vet relevant partnership opportunities with third-party compliance teams, including third-party technology providers.

  • Review and advise regarding strategic value and ensure Epiq’s interests through contract review and negotiation.

  • Manage partnerships and advance Epiq’s Compliance Solutions initiatives internally and externally.

  • Review go-to market plans, working with Marketing, Training, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful market adoption.

  • Sign-off on Product acceptance of business value prior to launch. 

  • Influence in leadership role to work closely with cross-functional departmental stakeholders to shift resourcing, priorities, etc. Direct leadership of teams reporting to objective; and

  • Manage senior leadership expectations and act as a cross-functional leader on steering committees.

Product:

  • Develop product features and designs with stakeholders for implementation of Epiq Compliance Solutions.

  • Create appropriate solutions for clients, including managing product development roadmaps.

  • Oversee development and roadmaps with third-party technology partners.

  • Evaluate the product management team’s priorities and roadmaps to gauge causality of work to strategic goals.

  • Ownership of objective for which multiple sprint teams are working.

  • Accountable for outcomes and results across all sprint teams working to your objective. 

  • Responsible for collaborating with the business on prioritization for a department of product lines to drive efficiencies across team.

  • Review and harden numerous roadmaps through alignment with your objective; and

  • Develop product strategy hypothesis and interpretations of data to gauge the success of developed functionality.

Required Qualifications

  • We are seeking a superior candidate for this role.

  • A Bachelor’s (BA) degree.  Master’s degree in related field highly desirable.

  • Position requires: A minimum of ten (10) years industry experience, five (5)+ years specific to Government Investigations or Compliance.

The Compensation range for this role is 135,731.70 - 271,462.80 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
