ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a FRM Sales & Trading Director, you will provide leadership for the Foreign Exchange (FX), Commodities, and Interest Rate Derivatives business. You will oversee client strategy, revenue growth, and risk management while guiding a high-performing team of Principals, Associates, and Analysts. This role requires deep market expertise, proven leadership ability, and the capacity to influence organizational priorities at the executive level.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.

Business Development

  • Create and maintain a dynamic client portfolio review process to identify strategic clients and optimize coverage.
  • Develop a semi-annual process to elevate high-value clients and reallocate low-touch clients to EFX or junior sales for development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners and external clients to deliver risk mitigation solutions aligned with client objectives.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit, Investment Bankers, and Capital Markets teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Create, manage, and prioritize a pipeline of opportunities across multiple product lines.
  • Provide leadership in evaluating and prioritizing capital markets transactions for execution.

Engagement & Delivery

  • Deliver high-value financial analysis and strategic alternatives to top-tier clients and prospects.
  • Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive client communication strategy.
  • Oversee creation and delivery of customized presentations and related communications.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across teams to ensure efficient workflow and seamless execution.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Oversee presentation, analysis, and execution of trade-eligible solutions (e.g., forecasts, swaps, caps, collars) in accordance with bank guidelines.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance at all times and ensure adherence across the organization.
  • Interface with internal and external oversight managers to enhance risk management practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Drive FRM strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create and sustain a positive, inclusive team environment through leadership and accountability.
  • Align people strategy and organizational capabilities to overall business objectives.
  • Engage senior commercial bankers and leadership teams to identify and address major capital markets opportunities.
  • Mentor team members through candid feedback, career development guidance, and performance reviews.
  • Actively participate in recruitment, training, and talent development programs for new hires and graduates.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, CPA strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in financial services, with significant leadership experience in Sales & Trading or Capital Markets.
  • Strong working knowledge of debt underwriting/DCM, industry, competitive, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing complex financial transactions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in driving strategic decisions and team development.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Qualified candidates will bring professional proficiency, generally acquired through 10 years of relevant work or internship experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and trading platforms/systems of record.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills; mastery of financial modeling and risk analysis.
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects and lead cross-functional teams.
