Role Overview:

The Director of Capital Markets will be responsible for the development and execution of origination and funding strategies for Billd. This includes optimizing loan allocations among the Company's bank partners along with portfolio funding and sales efforts with warehouse lenders and capital markets investors. This role will join Billd’s growing Finance team, reporting directly to the CFO.  To find the right candidate, the role can be either contract, part-time or full-time and will be preferably based in New York City, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and negotiate debt facilities, including warehouse lines and forward flow agreements
  • Facilitate in coordination with the CFO, deal structuring, term sheet negotiations, and closing of financing capital transactions
  • Develop and manage relationships with banks, private credit providers, and other institutional capital sources through programmatic presence and outreach
  • Own the preparation of due diligence materials, offering materials, investor decks, and deal documentation and ongoing analytical information for capital markets transactions and relationships
  • Evaluate and recommend new funding channels and capital structures to improve cost efficiency and flexibility
  • Coordinate capital markets strategy and operations with internal finance, credit, and legal teams
  • Oversee borrowing base compliance, covenant tracking, and lender reporting
  • Support equity capital raising efforts, including investor meetings and preparation of investor materials
  • Support board presentation of terms and capital strategy as necessary 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of experience working in capital markets in a strategic relationships or business development capacity structuring debt facilities 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with structuring and compliance requirements with regard to secured debt facilities required
  • Deep skill and training in Excel and presentation platforms
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication



The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
