Position Summary:
The Director, Business Intelligence (BI) will be responsible for developing and executing Braviant’s enterprise-wide BI strategy, enabling data-driven decision-making across all business units. This leader will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of BI tools, dashboards, and reporting systems that turn complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will blend deep technical BI expertise with strong business acumen, strategic vision, and leadership skills to scale our analytics capabilities as the company grows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
-Define and drive Braviant’s BI strategy in alignment with company goals and growth objectives.
-Partner with executive leadership to identify high-impact analytical opportunities and ensure BI efforts support strategic priorities.
-Champion a data-driven culture across the organization.
Data & Reporting Infrastructure
-Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise BI platforms, dashboards, and automated reporting.
-Oversee data governance practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security of information.
-Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure BI solutions are scalable, efficient, and integrated with core systems.
Analytics & Insights
-Partner with business leaders to define KPIs, metrics, and success criteria for performance measurement.
-Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations.
-Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to optimize operations, marketing, risk, and customer experience.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in BI, analytics, or data strategy, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik) and data visualization best practices.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
- Proven track record of building and scaling BI functions in a high-growth environment.
- Confidence to productively challenge existing practices and assumptions across the organization in the spirit of identifying more optimal solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Preferred:
- Experience in fintech, financial services, consumer lending or a data-intensive consumer business.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and integration with BI workflows.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
