Director of Business Development – TrustBuilder

Zonda is looking for a driven, builder-focused sales leader to help grow TrustBuilder®, our customer experience (CX) and reviews platform designed specifically for the homebuilding industry.

This role is built for someone who understands how to sell into home builders, knows how to prospect aggressively, and is comfortable building relationships with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, and Executive leadership teams within builder organizations.

The Director of Business Development will focus on generating new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and positioning TrustBuilder as the leading review and customer experience platform for new home builders.

This is a true hunter role. We are looking for someone who thrives on outbound prospecting, relationship building, and closing strategic opportunities within the builder ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow TrustBuilder revenue across regional and national home builders
  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, industry events, referrals, and builder relationships
  • Build andmaintainstrong relationships with builder executives, division presidents, sales leaders, marketing teams, and customer experience stakeholders
  • Identify builder pain points related to customer satisfaction, online reputation, buyer experience, customer retention, and sales process feedback
  • Position the TrustBuilder suite as a strategic CX and reputation management solution that helps builders strengthen consumer trust and improve the homeowner journey
  • Conduct product presentations, demos, and consultative sales conversations
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal marketing, product, and customer success teams to support client growth and retention
  • Maintainaccuratepipeline forecasting and sales activity within CRM systems
  • Consistently meet or exceed pipeline generation and revenue targets
  • Represent the company at builder conferences, industry events, and networking functions
  • Stay informed on builder trends, competitive landscape, online review strategies, and customer experience technology within the homebuilding industry

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or consultative B2B sales
  • Proven experience selling into home builders or related industries serving residential construction
  • Strong understanding of the homebuilding industry, builder organizational structures, and builder sales process
  • Experience prospecting and building a pipeline from scratch
  • Ability to hunt, network, and open doors with decision-makers
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills
  • Experience selling SaaS, CX platforms, reputation management solutions, marketing services, digital advertising, or technology solutions preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed
  • CRM experiencerequired; Salesforce experience preferred
